Good to be greeted on arrival to valet park the car.
Check in was simple we arrived early so room not ready but when we came back all bags in the room.
Had an upgrade so got a roll top bath which we didn’t use 😂
Bed is comfortable hotel is warm fresh looking and stylish with good quality furniture.
Bar service was very good with knowledgeable bar tenders who were friendly.
Not really much atmosphere in there for a Saturday night but I guess people are out on the town although we arrived back about 11.00pm it was fairly quiet in the bar.
All staff very helpful and polite.
Only criticism is the breakfast.
Only one coffee machine so ques for a coffee is not great.
Only juice option was Apple which is poor in today’s game.
I had a cooked breakfast and quality of bacon was poor and over cooked, sausage was average and beans were luke warm however scrambled eggs were lovely.
Others had eggs Benedict and French toast and all said they really enjoyed theirs.
Overall yes it’s expensive for a nights stay but a quirky hotel with massive character. Would I go back? Probably not now I’ve been I’d try somewhere else but well worth going if you’ve never been.
