What a disappointment! This was not a “luxury” hotel experience. The area around the hotel is shockingly rundown and unsafe. I booked two king rooms with a view, and one overlooked a construction site. Had to call down to request bathrobes. Room decor is bland and uninspiring…three-star quality. Should have stayed at the Chateau Laurier.

No parking so you have to pay for valet parking. The hotel is beautiful. We had to wait an hour past check in time to get into our room. On the positive side, they serve you wine while you wait! The beds are very comfortable and nice restaurants close by that you can walk to. We would stay there again!

**PLEASE READ FOR A MEASURED REVIEW** As a businessman who has operated a business in Car Care and Krown Rustproofing in the Montreal area since 1984, I now know a little bit about customer service. Since the onset of COVID 19, Andaz businesses of all sorts have been confronted with massive staff shortages, unreliable labour. During my 3 day stay, although there was minor glitches in receiving bed linens, and valet parking car retrieval, I will say that ALL of the staff worked extremely hard to accommodate the guests, and were very polite and courteous, despite the extra burden presented to them. I give a grateful “thank you” to all of the staff, especially the 2 staffers at Valet parking, and it is my wish that consumers read my review, and practice appreciation and mindfulness towards these young stafff members, and accept that businesses are doing their very best under the ongoing labour crisis, and to be thankful for the good, and the enjoyment your experience at Andaz Ottawa has brought you.

My family and extended family continue to come back as it’s a 10/10 overall experience with great views in the room & on the rooftop bar. Highly recommend. Place is always amazing. They have complementary drinks and snacks in your room which is a nice touch. However, my room was by the elevator and I could hear every conversation that people had as they were waiting from my room. Guess it was just luck of the draw but still love this place!
