Nice hotel but not good service for Japan
The open air bath is amazing but the room itself felt more cramped than the pics would have you believe. The queue for breakfast was enormous. There were many, many empty seats but they were not letting people on and I had to complain. There were school trips to Universal but they were all arriving late and the were not caring they were causing others to be late for the park. There were people leaving the kitchen but they were not letting other people in. The service was terrible.

Great location!
The staff was wonderful and let us check in several hours early. The location is perfect. It is quite literally on the City Walk and is located above the train station! Our room window overlooked the City Walk and we could see Universal at the end. It is incredibly conveniently

Poor selection for English speaking travellers, from breakfast which didn’t cater for Western tastes and reception staff who only spoke Japanese. The rooms were tiny by Western standards and there was nowhere to store your clothes. Positively, it was ideally located within minutes walk of Universal City, train station and Universal Studios.

Came with my family for Universal Studios. It is right next to the train but you have to take a couple stops to get her from Kansai Airport. We found out after you can take a bus from the airport directly to Universal so that would have been easier. But the hotel itself is nice, great breakfast (even for vegetarians) and a great onsen as well.
