During our stay in Japan, we stayed at three hotels. This was by far the most unpleasant stay.
The room fit five people, but it didn't comfortably live five people. It was very cramped and had almost no sound insulation, so we could all hear each other and everyone in the rooms around us at all times, even in different areas.
The beds were the worst part. They were beyond uncomfortable. It felt like sleeping on a chain link fence with a thin sheet over it. By the end of our 4-day stay, our hips and spines and backs were aching and sore. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep. The room was cute, but comfort was non-existent.
Communication left a lot to be desired. We weren't told beforehand that there would be construction around the building; there were loud construction sounds every day from 8:30 AM to about 6 PM. I might've been less upset about this if we'd known in advance, but no one told us. We also didn't get the mailbox code we were promised beforehand and had to call someone when we got in to help us get to our room.
The sole staff member was nice when we interacted with him. It was clean and very nice to look at, and the shower was fine (though very small). I would forgive the communication issues if the beds had been comfortable, but my true issue lies in all of the sounds, the cramped space, and how miserable the beds were to sleep on.
I would not book here again.
