Small place but has everything we need. Comfy place to stay while we were in Osaka. Walking distance to Metro. My sons loved the big screen projector on the wall.

It was definitely a little different not being able to check in with a receptionist and was a bit of a learning curb trying to figure out the check in process with no help other than an email and being in a country that I do not know their language… but once I figured it out, it was an amazing place to stay! Would definitely stay here again!

This is our third trip to Osaka this year, and we are a bit disappointed with our hotel. I must say the hotel is not very bad, but I can see many things that can be improved. Things are not good: 1. You must check in the room BEFORE 11pm. If you are not sure about your flight will be landed on time or you don't reserve sufficient time to go there, you will not be available to get your room and you probably will need to find an alternative hotel to stay. To be fair, the hotel will send you a reminder one or two days before check-in. 2. I found blood on my bed cover. I don't know who I can talk to. I've stayed in similar hotels in Osaka, and I thought I could talk to one of the staff via the video system in the lobby. In the end, my thought was wrong, and nobody could solve the problem. 3. I also found two ignoring flies in my room. I killed them at the end (sorry...) and I don't think this is what I would expected to see in a hotel room in Japan. 4. This is an apartment-style hotel, and the room has an electronic hob. We didn't plan to cook anything, but you need to know that there is no kitchenware, even chopsticks and cups (they do provide 3 paper cups), in the room. 5. Based on what I can see, the hotel only has limited space for luggage storage (maybe around 6 pieces of big luggage). 6. The kitchen light and toilet light are automatic with a sensor, so when you go to the toilet while your family members are sleeping, the light will turn on. That's quite ignoring.

I would recommend Merbabu to anyone staying in Osaka. It was such a cute little room. After travelling for a few weeks I was so happy to be in an immaculately clean space. The little bathroom was perfect. (And yes, the room is small but the space is used really well.) The street was quiet, but with lots of restaurants/coffee/bakeries around.

I like thats its clean and big space! Quiet area and accessible to everything. What i didnt like is theres no free bottled water at all. Its apartment hotel so they should at least provide kitchen utensils and stuff to use as mostly stayed there are tourist. Washer is not working and theres no english instruction they should at least stick short instructions in english to be more helpful! Theres no human that will help or someone you can ask if theres problem! everything is self service !

This hotel is really great! Balcony view, washer, small kitchen, fridge and microwave. Even if you skip the cleaning day, they leave you a bag of supplies for replenishment. You have to bring utensils, plates if you need it. No front desk person. They have emailed, asks for information and no reply at all. But overall, it’s a good place to stay. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

We lost a bag full of important stuff at a Starbucks but no one even touched it after hours it didn’t even move which is great it’s crazy because in America if it was even 30 minutes it’s gone.
