Hotel Hankyu Respire Osaka enjoys an excellent location directly above Umeda Station, sitting on top of Links Umeda, a large shopping mall with many dining options. It is also conveniently linked to Yodobashi Camera, making it one of the most well connected stays in Osaka. We stayed on the 24th–29th floor in the Double Room, Non Smoking (19 sqm). The room was compact but well designed, with a beautiful view of northern Osaka. The bathroom came with a small bath tub, which is common in Japanese hotels, and a humidifier was provided where you add your own water before switching it on. Amenities such as coffee, toothbrushes, and combs were available at the lobby’s self service corner. Check in was smooth, and the hotel already had our Expedia reservations prepared. As with all Japanese hotels, copies of our passports were taken at registration. The hotel’s location is one of its strongest points. It sits right in the middle of multiple malls and countless food options, all accessible within minutes. Whether it is shopping, dining, or catching a train, everything is directly connected and extremely convenient. Overall, Hotel Hankyu Respire Osaka offers a comfortable stay with excellent connectivity and panoramic views of northern Osaka.

Take me back. This hotel was everything. The gym was kinda small but decent size up to 5 people comfortable but they had cardio and weights which was a big plus. Also located next to a mall with a shopping center already built inside this hotel. Shopping was easy and the options to dine around the area were perfect

Lovely hotel. Solid rooms. Location is great. Ideal place to stay because it’s not as loud and crazy as Dotonbori and Shinsekai but super easy to get to these places and explore all Osaka. The subway and trains are all right there for you to easily reach the entire Kansai region.

The only drawback is the time spent in check in. We were required to self service check in but almost everyone need the assistance of the hotel staff standing around due to the error of the check in system or other issues. Finally, it seemed it is not self service. I believe if it is traditional check in, operated by the hotel staff, the time we spent in waiting will be greatly reduced.
