Close to most things.
Well situated for rail connections. Buffet breakfast was good. Osaka gardens entrance close by. Room a little smaller than we are used to. Plenty of food options locally. Staff friendly and helpful.

The two complaints I have are the rooms are just way too small. Also the hotel does not offer any kind of shuttle service at all. So you’re on your own if you need to get around. Shopping and restaurants are close by, but if you want to go further out, like to universal studios Japan, either train or taxi. Taxi is easier and drops you off right in front of universal. I used DiDi, was easiest to use to get around

APA hotel Umeda is really close to JR Osaka station and has a lot of great food close by. The standard room is quite small for 2 people. I would recommend booking a larger room for two people as it is even small for a Japanese hotel room.
