Very friendly staff and free convenient shuttle buses to Orlando theme parks. If you forget to pick up a souvenir at the theme park, they have an Orlando Studios store inside the hotel with some of the same souvenirs.

The location was perfect. My son loved the amenities. However I didn’t like there wasn’t no valet or help with luggage. It was extremely difficult to find a luggage cart. As a single parent it was difficult to manage all those variables. The room seems outdated. There’s paint chipping everywhere. Bathroom extremely small. The room key that gave you access to the buildings or the pools hardly ever worked. Me and my child had to wait for someone to pass, to open the door for us. Several people were waiting outside the building, waiting to get in because their room key wasn’t working either. I did not like the cigarette smoking area are in every single entrance of the hotel buildings…you have no choice but to walk past the smoke. Overall way over priced for what you actually get.

This is a beautiful retro hotel with tons of fun things to do, like the arcade or bowling alley but also the lazy river!!!

We stayed in building 2 aka The Thunderbird, overlooking the atomic pool area. This building is almost the furthest building on the property to the entrance to Volcano Bay. However, we just parked closer to the entrance and also the bus stop when we needed to. Our door lock’s battery died on our 2nd day but luckily we had the number to the hotel from Expedia and only had to wait about 20 minutes for security to come and confirm the issue and another 10 minutes for someone to come replace the battery. The room itself was nice. We booked a family suite with two queen size beds. We didn’t like having to stand beside the toilet to shut the door but got used to it by the second day. The pool area was nice, but shallow, and you had to get out there early to get a shade. We would have liked to have been at the other pool which has a lazy river. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The diner was decent and the malt shop was delicious. We really enjoyed being able to take the bus to and from City Walk as well.
