I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Orlando and was extremely disappointed with my experience. Upon arrival at 6 PM, I was shocked to find that the room I was given was dirty. When I went to the service desk to address the issue, instead of taking immediate action, the staff complained about having new maids and blamed the poor cleaning on their inexperience. As a general manager of a hotel myself, I know how crucial it is to perform immediate checks on rooms that are marked as complete, especially when new staff members are involved. It’s an essential part of ensuring that guests receive the quality of service they expect. This lack of oversight is unacceptable. To make matters worse, no compensation or offer was made for the inconvenience I experienced. This level of service is not what I expect from a Holiday Inn Express, and I hope that management takes this feedback seriously to improve their operations.

Perfect place to stay if you're looking for a one night stay, close to the airport. It was a very quick drive to and from the Orlando Airport. Nothing fancy, but very convenient!

After a day of flight cancelations, we arrived around midnight at this hotel. We had already pre-paid online for the rooms but clerk wanted a card on file for incidentals. None of our cards would work as the hotel system was having issues. He said the system needed rebooting but he never bothered to do that. The desk clerk was not in any hurry to help us and just stared at us like “I don’t know what to do”. We stood there for a while and he finally just gave us room cards to go to our rooms anyway. Once we got to our rooms, our keys would not open the door. Had to go back downstairs and have him program the key cards. I wanted some drinks/snacks from their lobby area but he wouldn’t let me buy them with cash and since his system needed rebooting I was told I would have to walk across the road to the convenience store. IT was now 1am and I told him that was unacceptable. We stood there in a face-off. He finally rebooted his system which took only a couple minutes and then my card worked so I was able to get snacks. Thankful my keys worked when I got back to my room! Clerk just had a careless and “you’re bothering me” attitude for a traveler that had been up 20 hours at that point.

Decent stay, beautiful and comfortable stay. Staff were friendly. Bathroom only had bath towel, no hand towels or face cloths. Enjoyed the Dove products. Coffee bar was nothing exceptional, no cold brew - certainly not the variety of Dunkin', Starbucks or Beans, but more expensive and smaller sizes. Overall, it was a nice stay, Just didnt wow me.
