This beautiful, dog-friendly home, located on a quiet cove of Lake Anna, will be the perfect place to celebrate your next vacation! Toast the morning sunrise with a steaming mug of coffee at the bar on the large open deck overlooking the lake. You'll love listening to bird songs and perhaps catching glimpses of the Great White Herons and bald eagles along the shoreline or high up in the treetops. The covered porch off the kitchen is a great place to enjoy a light breeze and views of the lake, woods, and the enclosed yard while savoring your breakfast. Plan a “grill master” tournament on the two gas grills then judge the results at the picnic tables by the beach. Challenge your family to a volleyball, horseshoe, and frisbee-golf tournament while your fishing enthusiasts catch fish from the private dock.

Relax in the oversized hammock gently swaying beneath the trees, or sunbathe on the sparkling pink sand on the beach along the shoreline. Watch magnificent wild fuchsia and orange sunsets from the couch on the covered front porch. Smell the honeysuckle at twilight in May as you wander the protected lands next door to view wildlife and catch a glimpse of the clear babbling brook that runs through the woods and marsh area to the lake. Roast marshmallows around the fire ring on the shoreline, and gaze at the stars as the moon rises. On cold or rainy days, view the lake through cathedral windows while reclining in front of a wood fire in a stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace. Hold a movie festival with trivia questions or play board games with friends and family. Let your culinary creativity loose in the fully-equipped gourmet kitchen boasting granite countertops, a six-burner gas Viking Stove, and convection wall ovens. This home has enough space to bring everyone together, enjoy some quiet time with a favorite novel, and everything else in-between.

Check out the Bass Fishing Tournaments, plus live music at various locations on weekends and at Sunday brunches. There are tastings at local wineries, breweries, and distilleries. Lovely Oasis
My husband, 6 month old daughter and I stayed here for a month while my husband worked in Louisa. The house is a beautiful, spacious and updated. The kitchen has everything you could need and more. We really enjoyed cooking and grilling during our stay. Lots of games and fun activities for the family. Great neighborhood for walking. We had to reach out to Vacasa and they were accommodating and responsive. All around great house and we had a wonderful stay.

Great house and amenities!
House had perfect layout for our group. Younger folks and teenagers stayed downstairs and played pool and ping pong all night long. Older folks upstairs relaxed in peace and quiet. Unbelievably fully stocked kitchen! Not obvious from photos, there’s a fenced in yard area right off the house for dogs and small children, and there are several Adirondack chairs on both beach and dock, plus two upright paddle boards in addition to the kayaks/canoes listed. View from the living space upstairs is fabulous. Dock area great for both sun and shade lovers and also obviously for boat docking. We had a great vacation!

Great place to relax
The location was very soothing and relaxing. The cleaners did a good job--the areas that I care the most about were properly cleaned--I don't care about having to wipe down the outside tables. The owners have recently bought new furniture, so everything was in great shape. The panty is stocked with every conceivable kitchen gadget imaginable. If you like to cook, the kitchen is a dream. For me, I only have two negatives: I had to work remotely for a 1/2 day and the internet is slow--like, it feels like the dark days of dial up, and I had to kick everyone off the WiFi so I could have it loan faster than a minute per page. It really took around 45 seconds to process each page, when they normally take around a second. That was frustrating, and I had to get caught up on work when I got home because I didn't accomplish everything due to slow internet. I have Verizon, and I was only getting 1 - 2 bars, so using my phone as a hotspot wasn't optional . Second, if you have your own kayak/SUP, I would recommend bring it. The inflatable SUPs are in great shape, but the YOLO SUP, is missing a fin. I used the sit-on-top kayak and the foot rests were missing which affected my balancing. The garage is packed with every game imaginable and different kids of floats, so you have tons of options.

Lake Anna Serenity Now review
We enjoyed the views, making s’mores in the firepit, star gazing and relaxing in the hammock. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed watching the eagles and herons. However, there are a lot of issues with this home.To start, we arrived to a home with a lot of dead bugs, dirty bed linens stacked up, black mold in the primary shower, trash in the bathroom drawers and a toilet on the main level that kept running. The pictures of the outside area on the listing do not portray the actual condition of the property. The area under the deck is full of weeds. The "sparkling pink sand" is in fact also covered with weeds and we were not able to sunbathe as the listing suggests. The dock had several loose, unsafe boards and rusty staples. The kayak had a large bee's nest. There were only 2 life vests and one kayak oar. Most of the outdoor toys in the garage were either missing pieces or covered in mouse feces. The basement bedroom smelled of cat urine. The primary bedroom had a window that was not even attached to the frame so it was cold at night and hot in the day and smelling firepit smoke. It felt like camping. The children’s toys in the backyard were broken. We also expected it to be quiet as the listing states but you can constantly hear the traffic on the Pamunkey Bridge on Route 522.I reached out to the local number listed on our reservation to no avail.I reached out to Vacasa many times and sent pictures but was just told to wait for the "local staff to resume duty” for a resolution.

Great for teens and adults, medium for small kids
Pros: The location is stunning! The house is large and spacious with lots of seating and kitchen supplies. The dock is lovely and there are tons of books, games, and movies. The fenced in yard is great for the kids and the beach was a hit! Cons: Unfortunately, so many items for kids under 8 were broken, missing, or otherwise unusable. The nearest store for replacements is over 20 minutes away. The play structures in the yard were broken in ways that made them actively dangerous. The only hose had been hit by a lawnmower and would not attach to the slip and slide from the garage. Most of the child-appropriate DVD cases were empty. Basically, the kids kept getting their hopes crushed. Also, the crib listed is an unsafe drop-side model. Otherwise, many of the dishes had been put away dirty and there were tons of dead bugs in the house. I tried contacting the management company and they repeatedly ghosted me. Overall, this would have been a great trip if our kids had been older, at this point though, this location brought unexpected frustrations.

This house and property were amazing! The pictures of the dock and the lake look like out of a storybook. We had three families with small children, and it was perfect for a family get together. In the house it had a great pool table, ping-pong table, and tons of games to play. The daily amenities and cookware were also top notch. We definitely would recommend it!

Wonderful house, beautiful view, lots of outdoor space
The open layout of this house is great for family gatherings. The kitchen has a huge island, a great stove, and double ovens. It was such a pleasure to cook in it. The layout of the bedrooms gives everyone private space to relax. Having 4 full bathrooms, what a luxury! The entire experience was fantastic. The property managers were responsive. The only recommendation I have is to have a few more nonstick pans - particularly a 12-inch pan. and more spatulas/tongs. All in all a GREAT place to spend time with family.

Quiet place, big space
Was a great place no complaints. Had some issues with the stink bugs but not enough to maybe return in the future. Since it was end of October and the weather was moving towards cold was happy that the main room was large enough to handle us all with no real crowding. Create use of space especially with the bathrooms. Since it was mentioned in the remarks before wanted to say that all the rooms had TVs and the remotes all where there and worked.

July stay
The description was generally accurate except for the water depth. Says 2-4 but really 1-2 feet so you can't swim. There was algae in the water, also preventing us from swimming, paddleboarding, etc. No one from the management company informed us of the algae so it was good that my mother-in-law read about it online. It can cause skin rashes, vomiting, diarrhea. The "beach" is covered with weeds and the dock had the most spiders and spiderwebs I've ever seen. There was a wasp nest in the broken chair of an outdoor toy - fortunately my kids didn't get stung. There might be poison sumac growing under the deck, next to the table and chairs. The house itself was clean but there was a dead plant by the kitchen sink. It was nice having linens, towels, and soap provided.

Great space, lots of room, house could use some love
We had a great time at this property. It has lots of room, lots of toys, games, and movies to watch, and the lake access and grassy areas were awesome. It was very comfortable for us all - 8 people and 2 small children. The house could use a few updates: could use a house guide to know where things are and how they work (ie the sound system, where to go for groceries/restaurants, where to find boat supplies, etc) could use extra sheets and towels, could use some time getting rid of the bees around the entryways (lots of big bees), and fixing of the boats and stand up paddleboards. I would also recommend cleaning out some space in the kitchen or pantry for people to put their food - there was no extra space for this. Overall, I would recommend this house anytime - just needs a weekend of attention by the landlords.

Perfect for families
The house and property were inviting and perfect for large family vacations. The one reason I did not give the house five stars was the condition of the dock and outside areas. Areas were overrun with wasps and spiders. It took 6 cans of wasp spray to get everything under control. My husband and two sons made it there mission the first day, after two wasp stings on the children in the play house. We did have an amazing time and the house really wonderful for extended family.

Great house although not boater friendly
the house was great for our family vacation (7 adults, 2 toddlers). The house has everything you need from things for kids to play with, a brand new gas grill that could cook for 20, ping pong, bicycles etc. It is in a very quiet neighborhood (end of cul de sac) and cove. The house is very well maintained. My only complaint is if you plan on bringing a boat. The cove is VERY shallow, you could walk across it, probably averages 11/2 ft. They dredged a path along the docks making it about 2.5-3'. I towed a 24.5' bowrider boat down and getting in and out of the cove took a lot of time (had to idle our way in/out with prop almost fully raised) not to mention the damage to the boat (gel coat gashes, dinged SS prop) that occurred from hitting things in the cove. Pontoons and jet boats wouldn't have much of an issue but I would not recommend anything else there. I wish this was made aware to me as I mentioned bringing a boat down from NJ.
