We chose to stay at Hotel Lulu because of its close, flat, and easy 15-minute walk to Disneyland. The hotel advertised that it had been updated, and since we arrived before check-in time, we were happy the front desk had a room ready for us. The staff were very nice.
However, we were surprised to learn that parking was $32 per night with in-and-out privileges, something that wasn’t mentioned when I booked. I even went back to check, and there was no information about it. But at that point, we just had to pay it.
The lobby was cute and modern, but things went downhill from there. The elevator to our sixth-floor room was extremely slow. The room itself was small, the bedding was thin, the beds were uncomfortable, and the bathroom had very poor lighting, making it difficult to get ready. The walls were also very thin; we could hear everything, from the plumbing to a crying baby at 5 a.m. so getting good rest was a challenge.
There is also no free breakfast offered, which was disappointing.
Overall, I think there are much better hotel options in the area with better amenities, comfort, and value. I do not recommend Hotel Lulu.
