I chose this restaurant because the ad said that there was an on-site restaurant. I was going to get in late and wanted that convenience. There was no restaurant. The front desk staff had a few snacks that they could heat in the microwave. They gave me the name of a place that delivered food, but they were short staffed and couldn't do it. I wanted to call down to get another restaurant, but there was no phone in the room, so I made my third visit down to the front desk. Finally I got a sandwich from Jimmy Johns.
We were going out the next night and my room had an ironing board, but no iron. The woman at the front desk said she would take care of the missing phone and the missing iron, but that never happened.
In addition to manning the front desk, the staff had to be the bartenders, cooks, housekeeping staff (they were delivering towels to a room in the early evening), and concierge. I will say that they did their best to be extremely courteous, but too much was asked of them. Very poor management decision to cut corners like this.
I expected the Hyatt to be much more upscale than this. I was deeply disappointed. Don't advertise a restaurant when there is none. That's a bait and switch, and I feel cheated, because I wouldn't have stayed there had I known.
The hotel directory, policies, etc. were only available through a QR code sticker on the night stand. That's ridiculous and challenging for many customers.
