A friend and I spent 3 nights at the Sauce Hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, everything was clean, and the breakfasts were wonderful. They even put a bag breakfast together for us on the day we left very early for Machu Picchu. The location was great, with an easy walk to everything including the train station. Filtered water was available in the dining area 24 hours a day. I would definitely stay again.

Immediately felt at home the second I walked in. Staff was beyond friendly and easy to communicate with. Incredibly helpful, even carried my big, heavy suitcase up the stairs for me. They upgraded my room to one with a better view which was awesome. Held my bags for me after check out and just overall a very positive experience. The breakfast was exactly what I needed. Great breakfasts. Helpful staff. Basically right on the main square of town. Ollantaytambo is beautiful, and the ruins are easily walkable from this location. They packed an early breakfast for us for our day trip to Machu Picchu. They arranged a taxi back to Cusco for us when we left after our three day stay. This was one of the highlights of our trip. Great little hotel.

Superb plentiful buffet breakfast with diced fresh fruits; local cereals; various yogurts; nuts; home-made butter and jams; local organic honey; various cheeses and ham; rolls; freshly squeezed fruit juices; coffee and teas; freshly made eggs to order. Free filtered water available 24/7. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent WiFi throughout. Great hot shower. Comfortable bed. Great views of the Inca mountain stronghold. Superb position between station and main square. Right next to mini markets and restaurants. Wonderful friendly staff.

The location of the hotel was great. Had a room with a window that framed the ruin. There is a lot to see in the town of Ollantaytambo and more to see in the surrounding areas. The staff, especially Anais, was very helpful. The lobby and breakfast area were warm and colorful and Anais has great taste in music. The bed was perfect.

We stayed at this hostal one night upon our return from Machu Picchu and before going to Cusco. The hostal is in an excellent location which is within a block from the Inca ruins and market place. Restaurants are very close. The person checking us in spoke very little English so we were not able to ask about a taxi to take us to Cusco the next day. We were able to arrange a taxi online so it was no problem. The next morning a different person was there who spoke more English and was more than willing to help with whatever we needed. All in all I would highly recommend staying at this hostal. It is an excellent value and is in a great location.
