The room was very small. It has been nice and a little more comfortable in the other hotels. It was virtually a no room for move around once I opened my suitcase. I wish I knew before I booked.

The staff were incredibly helpful, supportive, friendly, and helped a solo traveller who spoke 0 Japanese find his way, so I appreciate that immensely. The bed/pillow were not super comfortable which is why this is a 4 star, but I would stay again. Massive, massive thank you to the staff again, they were wonderful.

I stayed here for 5 nights as the base to explore Okayama. The location is great. Plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. You can take the tram to the castle area. The tram station is just outside Okayama station. The room is good and would be great if the have proper noise insulation against the moving trains. Apart from that it is a great place to stay.

I stayed at the Kyoto Via Inn before and had great impression, so I booked the Okayama Via Inn as well. However, the hotel is convenient as it is connected to the train station but there's a restroom smell in my room and full of black mold around the window that makes me feel quite uncomfortable.

Very convenient and comfortable stay
The location - steps away from the Shinkansen gates - cannot be beat for the convenience. The checkin and checkout were very efficient and the rooms clean. Breakfast offered a wide choice and views of the Okayama station and arriving and departing trains.

New clean hotel with a great location.
Great location right next to the train station. Buffet breakfast was included and it started at 6:30. They had a variety of traditional Japanese breakfast items and few Western items. If you enjoy the food in Japan you will like it. The rooms were small but fine for me since I was alone. I loved that you could crack the window open and get some fresh air or turn on the AC (even in the winter) if your room was too warm. Place was clean and seemed to be pretty new.

Via Inn is right in the Okayama Train and Bus station. Great central location for hopping trains to the area. Excellent breakfast buffet!
