Really nice room. Clean. The ladies that cleaned came by and kept the room spotless. Great price and location. Center of Oceanside CA. Only one gripe. The windows didn’t keep loud noise out. Heavy traffic. Choose a room closer to the back. I had one right up front to the street and well it was loud when someone drove by or the police sirens went off. Still great spot.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ 4 out of 5 Hotel Oceanside – Honest Review After a Weekend Stay I’m giving Hotel Oceanside 4 out of 5 stars because while my overall stay was clean, quiet, and safe, there were several important details that guests should be aware of before booking. 1. Pet-Friendly Policy Not Honored for Service Animals The listing states that service animals are exempt from pet fees, but when I arrived, I was still charged for my service dog. The staff made it clear that their policy does not follow what is posted on Expedia, which was an unexpected and disappointing surprise. 2. $200 Deposit Per Room If you book multiple rooms, expect to pay a $200 deposit for each one. The hotel encourages paying this in cash, but if you choose to put it on a card, the hold remains for 3–5 business days. This information was not listed during booking, and it caused some confusion during check-in. 3. Dining Room Completely Closed & Unwelcoming Breakfast is no longer offered post-COVID, but the old breakfast area hasn’t been repurposed. The entire room is shut down, empty, and honestly feels uninviting for guests. I suggested to the staff that it could be turned into a lounge area with couches or comfortable seating to make the hotel feel more welcoming. The front desk said they would pass my feedback to the owner. 4. Check-in was good. The woman that checked us in was very nice and helpful. All the clerks and staff were all very kind. Our room was very big and clean. Loved it. The only downside was we didn't know we had to put a $200 cash deposit down, which we got back at check-out. Otherwise we had a wonderful stay.

Let’s start by saying the parking lot is small. I tried to check in early was told I couldn’t, nothing available. So came back after 3:00 pm and front desk lady was rude. Clearly not sober. Got my room. Not very clean. Tried to get late check out and was told only til 11:45am. Deposit was higher than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Will not ever stay here again. False advertising on the website.

There were ants in my restroom but what made it a great experience was the staff the girl at the counter.. She was really nice friendly and courteous.. Thats what made the stay worth it plus the location.

The Hotel Oceanside was perfect for my business trip to work at the Breeders Cup at Del Mar. I enjoyed the quiet, spacious comfortable room. Plenty of table and countertop space as well as more than enough drawers. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the water pressure in the shower. But the price and convenience surely made up for it.
