"The Gathering Place was such a great property with suberb hosts. I was most impressed with communication from the owners and the tips and details they provided before our arrival. It helped so much with planning. We arrived to a help basket with some favorite treats like popcorn and hot cocoa which was a plesant surprise. The properyy is homey and modern. I was impressed with the size of the.bunk beds and all the beds. There were plenty of blankets and cookware. Pretty much had everything we needed for a group. Hot tub was ready to go at night and although we didnt use the firepit, we were pleased to find wood ready to go if we did. The owners communicated so well before, during, and after our stay. They made sure we were comfortable and addressed any questions right away. Highly recommend!!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Magnolia is a beautiful well furnished home. We were lucky enough to have gotten lots of snow during our stay. It was so beautiful!! I would suggest additional heating on/in the main level bedrooms. There was a dramatic difference in that part of the house. Lots of "It's freezing back here" comments. space heaters would have been most welcome! We kept the thermostat at 70 lest the upstairs get too warm. I did report that there was leaking in the upstairs window. we piled towels to mediate. My only hesitation about returning to Magnolia would be the heating situation. We had a wonderful time!!"

"Stayed for 3 nights with my 2 pre- teens. The unit was clean and comfortable,nwith hreat lake views. The property was in a great location close to everything we were doing. During the weekdays the building was super quite; the weekend got much busier. On-site restaurants were very convenient and tasty! Wpuld stay here again! "

"Needed a little getaway from the hectic holiday season! Place was delightful for the 4 of us [me, my husband, daughter/her boyfriend]. Our goal was fire place, hot tub, Christmas movies, games, food, football. While the location was excellent, we didn't venture out, by design, other than to walk the dogs around the block or to hit the coffee shop. We were very comfortable with the arrangement and had a lot of privacy, as it relates to sleeping arrangements. Our goal was to "be" together, so the set up was great for that.What we loved: host communication/accomodations, location, the place, itself, hot tub, we could bring dogs, fireplace, vibe of the cottage, bed was comfy. What wouldn't have worked for us if we were staying longer: 1 bathroom, centrally located, felt a little "vulnerable," kitchen was not THAT well-stocked [we brought a lot of our own stuff, per our preferences: crock pot, waffle iron]. "Kids" (25 & 22) The loft was great; but if you prefer some alone time, you still feel "involved" in the loft. We like to play cards and other games sitting around a table. While the LR was super cute, not quite configured to allow for that [although we definitely made do]The outdoor space/front porch was super cute; and would definitely give more space to hang/be alone in the warmer weather. Hot tub was nice and relaxing [and private]We had a wonderful time & would rent again!"
