On the hillside, overlooking the beautiful city of Novo Mesto, in the heart of the idyllic Dolenjska region, this charming former wine store makes the ideal destination for anyone who wants to escape from it all.
Laid out over the first floor, this apartment sleeps 4 people. The living area is furnished with a sofa, a wooden dining table, flat screen TV, wood-burning stove and an open-plan kitchen. Glass doors lead out to a private balcony. The kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and coffee machine.
The outside space has been carefully considered and includes a covered terrace with a private hot tub and a shaded dining area with lovely views over the valley.
Guests are provided with a key to the ground floor wine cellar which can accommodate up to 10 people. Here they can purchase local wines, honey and various spirits.
The owners are working towards making the property more sustainable, with steps such as single-use plastic banned, recycling bins provided, double glazing and water-efficient toilets.

Location
The cottage is just 10 minutes from Novo Mesto. There are many activities for adventurous travellers, including skydiving, rafting or canoeing, hiking and cycling. For something more relaxed, the area is known for its thermal waters and the spa town of Smarjeske Toplice is 15 minutes away.
The cottage is halfway between Ljubljana (1 hour) and Zagreb (1 hour 10 minutes). Both capitals make fascinating day trips.
Ljubljana’s international airport is a 1 hour 10 minute drive.
