A good hotel close to the David Ross centre. Room could be improved by adding a mirror for ladies to do their make up and a small fridge to keep things cool in the room.
We had a fabulous few days and really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to all the staff for taking care of us.

As a party of four having two separate rooms one of the party had to move rooms three times due to issues, that same couple ended their stay being ill.
There were a few cleanliness issues. Shower leaked all over the floor, we had to use the floor Matt to soak it up, having to squeeze the water out twice.
It was difficult to apply make up as the mirror was in the wardrobe which was dark, the other mirror is in the bathroom, which restricts use of bathroom and the lighting was poor.

The hotel is very inviting from out side and the staff are good, Inside the hotel is lovely and set out well, but there are a lot of minor cleaning, presentation and attention to detail issues that could be easily rectified which would bring the ratings up from me.
Also if your not technically minded and don't have a mobile phone, you would find it difficult as room instructions, menus, room service are all on QR codes that need scanning.
Everybody seems to know their job at the Orchard. From the friendly, welcoming receptionists to the bar staff and to the staff at breakfast, everyone is pin sharp.
The hotel in my opinion is great and the location feels safe and for vehicles too, being within the university grounds.
Food is very good whether in the restaurant, bar or breakfast.
I’ve stayed in the superior rooms on every occasion I’ve been and they are modern but not fussy. Coffee machines, kettle, ironing board and robes are all standard.
Nice smelling soaps work well but are not take away but this fits with the hotels who ethos I think.
Rooms are also well insulated for noise so a good nights sleep is almost guaranteed.
I think most people will like it at the Orchard and for the price point, there’s very little better.
Lovely clean hotel which suited our needs perfectly for a weekend break for a family wedding. Staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, everyone was so polite and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel, you will not be disappointed
This hotel far surpassed our expectations. It was top notch 5 stars all the way. The hotel was immaculate, warm welcoming and professional throughout. The room and breakfast stood out, as well as the surroundings and gardens. We will definitely be back!
