The service was very much below standard. The food took a long time to come out and 4 of us ordered at the same time with 2 meals arriving half an hour before the others. No explanation was given until afterwards. Dinner was not any better, it took an hour after ordering for the food to arrive.

Dunston Hall Hotel is a beautiful hotel, full of character and charm and the staff were welcoming, but our experience was marred by the condition of our room. Upon arrival, it was immediately clear that the room had not been properly cleaned. There was visible dust on and behind the furniture, crumbs on the carpet, and even stained skirting boards from spilt beverages. The bathroom was particularly appalling, with mouldy grout between tiles—a clear indication of neglect. In addition, the room lacked air conditioning and the fan provided was filthy and covered in dust, making it unusable. It’s unacceptable that we had to request the room be cleaned and the fan replaced, tasks that should have been handled long before our arrival. This level of carelessness is not what we expected from a hotel of Dunston Hall's caliber. The manager was apologetic and attended to our request, however our stay was impacted by these issues. The health centre facilities were nice we enjoyed the facilities.

We were a little disappointed, the hotel was amazing and the facilities great , but our stay was not an enjoyable one. Firstly our room the air con did not work, the receptionist did get us some fans which helped a little , secondly on the morning of Saturday we had no water and with it being so hot was not ideal when off to a football tournament.

A Good find
Went with my friend on a shopping trip. This hotel was a Good find. We had a deluxe family room which had two queen beds and ir conditioning which was ideal.The breakfast was good and evening meals tasty.

Impressive from the outside....
We stayed here for just one night, a short getaway with a spa. The buildings are impressive, however once you walk in it is clear to see all a bit worn and tired. A few smaller touches would have made the stay better such as water in the rooms. We went for breakfast quite late, and was very disappointed, none of the tables had been cleared, no glasses, no coffee, no fruit, no plates...... We travel frequently, my partner travels weekly, will not be returning to this hotel and very unlikely to try any of the others in this hotel group.

Comfortable bed, but not a 4 star experience
Unfortunately message didn't get through to hotel that i am allergic to feathers, but housekeeping amended quickly. Staff very friendly but room decor is very tired (and bland). All the wood furniture has scuffs and scratches, the paint is peeling on the bathroom woodwork and the bathroom grouting on the tiles needs replacing. It's a similar story on the spa facilities - the changing rooms are very basic and some of the poolside tiling has seen better days.
