I could not be more impressed with this motel. From the east check in process to the rooms themselves. Comfy bedding, very cute mid century modern design. Clean. Don’t let the area around it scare you off. They do a great job or isolating the motel from it’s surroundings and they have security guard walking the premis at night. Will def stay again!

Best vintage gem in Charleston
Every detail about this place is well thought out and executed. Friendly people, dangerously comfortable beds. My room was so clean!! I had everything I needed right there. You can request a microwave in your room for a low fee ($10) if you decide to bring some snacks or food for breakfast. Pool was beautiful, and the bar was delightful. Short drive to almost everywhere in Charleston (less than 15 minutes to downtown and 17 minutes to Credit One where I was seeing a show) Folly Beach was a 25 drive. This will be my preferred place to stay any time I come back to this city

The room was cute with retro style. The shower was awesome and a comfortable bed. However, the exterior, especially the stairwells, are in desperate need of a revamp and painting. This is a first impression area and not great.

This is an absolute gem in North Charleston. I will return for sure. Retro made new. The property is very safe. The surrounding area isn’t great. But it is <30 from everything and without the parking issues of downtown.

Great getaway
Starlight motor inn was a great spot to visit while in North Charleston. Just as described in the photos, The room was luxurious, clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Definitely worth the price. And the service of the team was 10/10. From beginning to end the staff made sure that we were comfortable.

Second time staying there. Always a great stay. It's clean , friendly and safe. Don't let the neighborhood skectch you out. Oh and try the taco place that's located close to there.

The Starlite Motor Inn was a mix of retro with modern day comfort. Staff was friendly and helpful and location was convenient to all tourist attractions.

The Property itself is very Very Safe. I think a couple Cops live there and park their cars out front. I saw several people walking to the gas station for food and coffee with no problem. But I wouldn't venture off the property alone at night. Mabey it's just me I live in South Florida. LOL. But overall it was very clean and nice. I would for sure return.

This place is not only a hidden gem but also a well know secret to locals! The lounge has love music and Cass is an amazing bartender! Hank the GM is attentive and efficient! Pool is clean and warm! I will be telling all my friends!
