During my stay in Room 1136 from August 14-16, 2024, I experienced persistent air conditioning issues that made the room uncomfortably warm, despite multiple reports to staff. This stay was meant to celebrate our anniversary, but instead, we endured nights in a room that remained at 26.5°C (78°F), making it difficult to relax or sleep. I specifically paid for a room with functioning air conditioning, yet I didn’t receive what I paid for. Despite being repeatedly assured that the issue would be fixed, it wasn't until late on August 16th that I was finally informed the problem couldn't be resolved, and I was offered a room change at an inconvenient hour. This disrupted our anniversary plans and made the stay thoroughly uncomfortable and disappointing. Given the significant discomfort, the lack of promised amenities, and the impact on our special occasion, I believe more substantial compensation is warranted.

The overall atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and beautiful beach & pool were all wonderful and exactly what we were looking for. The buffet style food was the only thing that was maybe four instead of five stars. But again, overall, an amazing stay! We'll be back w/our kid!

I love every moment from my trip in Aruba the resort was breathtaking the streets were clean and safe one of the safest island I’ve been in. The resort customer service was on point. Everyone I came in contact with was excellent great customer service all around. Special mention for Miguel and Nellie for the outstanding services at the front desk.

The staff was wonderful although the pool area had a lot of people throwing items (playing catch) to one another and floating on giant rafts (despite the pool stating this wasn’t allowed via the signs). It wouldn’t be an issue altho it was extremely crowded and all of these extra pool activities were a bit annoying.

The location Of the resort just excellent. The food in the restaurants snd buffet was very good. I didn't like the nautilus restaurant because it was outside and a lot of birds were flying around. I think that 5 stars resort not supposed to have that kind of restaurant Otherwise everything was just great

Horrible experience all around. Would not recommend this property to anyone, especially if traveling with a family. Dirty, no amenities, food with bugs and flies, and full of drunk people.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing but had concerns about cleanliness. I noticed that silverware was placed on tables and several restaurant staff did not change the silverware out when cleaning the tables if it appeared that it was unused.

From the staff who cleaned every square inch to the servers to the greeters to the pool staff they were so courteous and helpful. Oh don’t forget those crazy ‘entertainers’ out by the pool that made everyday hilarious with the games and music and their antics and learning your name! Just fantastic! You are all top notch!

This is our 3rd time back to the Riu in Aruba and it has been 5 stars everytime. We brought our girls this time and they now share in the love we have to this wonderful island.

The beach is amazing in the property! No waves at the time we were there. The rooms are a bit outdated and smelled, however, when we requested assistance, a maintenance person came by the room and changed the filter which helped some. The food is really good at the Buffet. We only tried the Japanese restaurant which was pretty good. Tried to go to the steakhouse but the waits are insane! the food at the buffet was great so we went there instead. The hotel should try to work a better system with the restaurants. The entraining team really tries to get things going by the pool during the day. Entertainment at night time is not great... pretty boring I would say. The people that work here are all professional and very nice. We had a great time but do recommend improvement with reservation system with restaurants and working on the smell of the rooms.

Great options for food, rooms and amenities can use some updating but they are still comfortable and easy to use. Staff is what makes this place shine, staff members are nice, kind, and offer great service

Great experience at RIU palace. Miguel in the front desk was excellent, super friendly and a warm welcome. The rooms are a bit outdated however they were very clean. The service was phenomenal, we did not go 15 mins without getting ask if we needed anything. We will def. Come Back again.

Had a great stay at RIU PALACE but the construction going on was a little loud in the morning. All in all I would stay here again when visiting Aruba.
