The hotel did not have the Suite we booked over 6 months out, I guess they decided to give it to someone else, which is nice of them. They tried to give us two rooms instead, facing the hotel across the street (they said it was mountain view, I would call it city view at best) which was not acceptable for us and our child, we just wanted the room we booked. Next they put us in two rooms on Ocean Side, but we still told them we wanted the actual suite that was more appropriately appointed for a family, they never fixed this during our 6 day stay. There was no soap in either of the bathrooms in the two rooms, it took them three days to fix this, and we had to go back to the same housekeeping person in the hallway multiple times on the day it did get fixed before they actually replaced the soaps, which doesn’t even make sense. Beyond that, the pool is only open until 7 pm so the hotel can make money at the restaurant they built beside it, which is not fair to the paying hotel guests. The pool itself is a chaotic disaster… forget needing to get up early if you want to get a chair, you’ll need to do that for sure, but you’ll need to do the same if you want to even get a towel since most of the day will be nothing but a pile of dirty wet towels beside the pool. The toilet in one of the rooms was broken and they didn’t bother fixing that. The parking is so tight you WILL scratch your rental car, make sure buy insurance. 3 stars
