Took 10 minuets waiting at the barrier to be let in. Rooms very small and limited for cost. Not very clean, would not recommend this hotel or stay here again. Food was also below average

The room was spacious although the bathroom was very small. Dirty corners and around the perimeter of the room. Breakfast was mediocre but did get vegetarian sausages on request. Value for money for the entire stay was good.
Upon arrival was told I had to pay £240 which I pre booked and payed for in advance. When going to retrieve proof of my payment we was giving a key card and told our rooms “that way” while pointing aimlessly. No explanation or apology was given after me panicking we wouldn’t have a hotel being 200miles from home. After returning from our festival the key card would not work for our room and they had to do us another one. While leaving told to give 10/10 review after me saying I wasn’t too happy about the visit. Again no sympathy or apologies from staff. I will be using a different hotel next year!
Average for the money and for an overnight stop. Room wasn’t particularly clean and only 2 sets of towels for three booked guests.
We waited for 10 min outside the barrier and when we called reception there was no answer. A passer by took pity on us and a taxi and put the code in, but it wasn’t a great experience.
There are good & bad rooms here.
Tonight my room was dirty, dust and debris up to skirting board where vacuum doesn’t reach.
Windows that I couldn’t close.
Curtains that were torn and not hanging on the rail.
Carpet by bathroom door that was wet to walk on.
Whilst not unfriendly, neither was it a friendly welcome when checking in.
Positives were bedding clean and a nice breakfast.
Where this hotel used to be a regular weekly choice when working in area it’s now a last resort.

Our stay
The room carpet wasn’t clean . The room had a double bed for 2 people but there was towels for one person . There should always be 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels in a double room. The bathroom mirror wasn’t cleaned it had some marks. Tue other room we were given the wrong number it was room 17 but 71 was written on the card .
