Welcome to our beach home. We can't wait for you to fall in love with this location during your stay on Plum Island in Newbury, MA. Stays are booked Saturday to Saturday, in 7 day increments. We are on the beach with miles of oceanfront to explore in either direction. You will also find all the plum island bars, restaurants, and stores within minutes of walking!

We are located just a 7 minute drive from shopping, restaurants, and activities in downtown Newburyport. Salisbury and Salisbury Beach are approximately a 15 minute drive. The house is on the beach side of the street steps away from your private beach access, lots of natural light inside, calming sounds of the waves breaking on the beach, and island restaurants and stores all within 2-15 minutes walking distance! This includes Plum Island Grille, Plum Island Kitchen, Plum Island Beach Coma, Plum Island Provisions, and The Cottage. We hope that you love it so much you will come back every summer.
The space itself is one of 3 separate units on the property and has 2 parking spots. This is unit B and it is the first floor of a building that has unit A above it (unit A occupies the 2 floors above it and unit C is to the south just above the garages). Since unit B is at street level and below the level of the dunes, it does not have any beach views from inside the unit. Most of the windows are facing the street. It does not have any private decks or a grill. But the property is on the beach side of the street and has access to the private beach area that lets you walk onto the public beach. Unit B shares that private beach area with units A and C, and a shared open-air, cold water outdoor shower for rinsing sand and salt water, and cooling off on hot days.
The unit is 732 Sq feet inside with washer/dryer, dishwasher, 2 queen bedrooms, one bathroom, and a pullout couch with a queen mattress.
If renting during the colder months we would recommend bringing extra heavy blankets, as only lighter weight summer blankets are provided with the linens and towels.
There is access to a private beach area about 30 paces from your front door. This unit does not have a view of the beach from inside as it Is below the dune level.
The private beach access space is shared with unit 6A, above (Plum Royale). That upstairs unit sleeps up to 13 adults (to give you an idea of how many others may be present). From the private area you can also walk directly onto the public beach in front, which goes for miles either north or south.
I live nearby, about a 30 minute drive from here. And can be available at times when needed.
This is one of the BEST spots on the Island; easy to drive in and out, walking distance to all of the Island bars, restaurants, and stores, and directly on the beach.
Plum Island is not traditionally known for having ample parking :). There are 2 private parking spots on the property, but there are a number of public lots nearby for any additional cars, including one directly across the street with an automated pay station.
