The location is wonderful as is the staff (warm and welcoming—one pushy doorman), it is very clean. It is decorated in vintage furniture, almost flea market for some things. The chairs were worn out and tired. So the room look somewhat old and a little tired, though clean and certainly different from a standard hotel room. We were told that our junior deluxe was a standard room—in the older part of the building where all the “standard” rooms are. Perhaps the suites in the taller building are different. But overall, a good experience. Plenary of places to eat around mid-town. Close to subway.

I am a very regular guest at The Kimberly and love the place. I stay here once or twice a month. Many of the rooms are suites with balconies, which is lovely. Even the single rooms are large and relatively spacious. The bedding is first rate so a good nights sleep. Lovely rooftop bar restaurant for breakfast or nightcap. Two other restaurants on the premises Bistango and Empire Steak house, the latter being my go to This is by far my favorite hotel in the City. I probably should not be telling my secret lest it become difficult to get reservations, but I really do think the place is great.

Everything was great, except for the slippery bathtub. Felt like we were "ice skating" every time we took showers. Staff were very helpful and nice. Highly recommend The Kimberly.
