The Hotel was in the floral district of Manhattan. The distance between the subway and restaurants are a short walk. The room had working air conditioning, hot water and somewhat comfortable bed. Other than that, the room was less then desirable with cracks in the ceiling of washroom, probably due to no working fans. If this was a 4star, id hate to see what a 3star is.

They store your bags before/after checkin/out which is great. Some people complained about AC not working well enough but ours was good. Very clean, housekeeping was great. It is an older building and rooms but a renovated lobby. No personal safe in room. Breakfast is coffee, apples bananas muffins and croissants. Elevators are slow. Convenient location to subway and quiet enough area.

Clean well located courteous staff
Hotel is in a great location on a side street just a couple of blocks from Madison Square Garden and the Amtrak train station. Hotel is clean, well maintained and the staff is very courteous. it is advertised as offering free breakfast, however the hours of the breakfast do not start until 7:30 a.m., which is a little late for me. Also, they only have apples, bananas, a few donuts and muffins. So, it is disappointing in the selections offered.

The best thing is location- midtown manhattan, close to the subway, I felt safe. Hotel is pretty modern, simple: there’s construction going on outside, it’s next door to a bunch of flower shops. The breakfast essentially is pastries , muffins , yoghurt and fruit. Checkin was 3pm and check out 12pm. It was busy. There’s a gym which is basic as expected in a hotel, free weights, cardio machines. Room had an ironing board and iron, safe, fridge. Can see all the complaints re air con- but mine was functioning perfectly fine. For the price it was significantly cheaper than the other hotels in the area, if you want a safe clean place to stay in the heart of New York then it’s a great option.

This is a great hotel someone looking for inexpensive place to stay in a convenient location in New York City. I travelled with my 14-year-old son and we had a room with two double beds on the fourth floor. Overall the rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable - especially after clocking 20-25k steps a day. Despite being on a low floor, we didn’t hear any street noise aside from a police siren one morning. For the discerning traveller: the baseboards need painting, there is some mildew in the shower (bring flip-flops if you are concerned), and the AC was a bit noisy. The breakfast is sparse - basic baked goods like muffins, donuts, and bagels, with fruit and yogurt. When we were there the ice machine was broken. There is a fitness room but it is very basic. All this said, I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The staff is nice, you steps away from a major subway line, and I didn’t spend a lot of time in my room. To supplement breakfast, there is a great breakfast food truck at the corner of 50th & 6th st with five dollar breakfast sandwiches that are delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The checkin is quick (our room was ready by 2pm). Being in the heart of the flower district is a nice bonus - so lovely to walk out into practically a garden every morning.

Great location- awful hotel
Business trip- great location. My room was HOT upon arrival and twice engineering came to "reset" the AC. nothing lasted. I heard several other guests complaining during my stay also. It took so long to get hot water in the shower I thought that it was out (10 min!) The breakfast area was in demolition with some kind of water leak- the base boards in my room were unpainted and peeling--the furniture was old and in bad condition. Everything was damp and moldy smelling. The outside sitting area at the front smelled like urine. Overall, it is cheap for the location, don't expect too much and you might be hot.

Don’t stay here. They’ll charge you with a $69 hidden fee when you check out. Then when you asked what’s this for, they said that since you booked through a third party, they don’t tell you that the have a $69 facility fee. They told me that wifi was not included when it said “Free wifi” when I booked the room. Such false advertisement.
