Great housekeeping came by every morning with towels and emptied trash. Hotel service is poor we had no room heat for four nights. We were brought a small portable heater and 2 blankets our first night. Checked with them the next day and nothing resolved. Ended up with 2 portable heaters in the room to stay warm. Would I stay here again no and I would not recommend.

I stayed here because of its convenience to Lincoln Center proximity wise and was wholly disappointed. The hotel hallways and rooms are in very rundown and dingy conditions. The bed was extremely hard. Our room was also extremely hot, and even if we tried to turn the temperature down or change it to air conditioner it still aggressively pushed out hot air. I also wanted to explore the rooftop bar (mostly to take a photo) which has its hours posted until 1:30AM Friday evening, but even at 12:45 they would not let me go up because they “closed at 1”. There aren’t many hotels in this area so options are limited but a 5 minute Uber ride to get to another hotel would be worth it. 0/5 stars. Would not recommend staying here.
Rooms were small with walls, curtains, floors run down and dingy. Bed was very hard. Room was super hot and temperature would not change even if AC was turned on.

Room condition was not the greatest. There was no window blind had to make our own to cover up the window. AC/heat didn’t work great. You either had it on heat and it was too hot or cold and it was too cold. No in between.

Location is everything but the hotel has aged. The bathroom had an unconscionably small (like less than a foot) distance between the wall and the sink so that I (small woman) could not fit in front of the sink and had to stand to the side and touching the toilet to brush my teeth. The carpet and closet drape were dirty/dingy/stained. The walls are thin. The bed was comfortable though!

Location, location location! Right across from Lincoln Center and a short block from the subway made the Empire Hotel and ideal place to stay. I was able to check my luggage in early and explore midtown Manhattan with ease.

I have never stayed in a four-star hotel that looked worse than a motel six-from the dirty tables and bathroom to the wallpaper, peeling off to the curtain, being broken the AC, not working and no ability to get hot water. I was disgusted even after I asked to change rooms, I got something that was just as bad this hotel is definitely not a four star hotel and should be not recommended to any traveler. I will be contacting hotels.com for a full refund and if not, we will be processing the refund through my credit card.
