Great Location
A little disappointed at the size of the room but as we were hardly in there, we managed. Nowhere to put our luggage though. We stayed 3 nights before going on to stay with relatives in Michigan so having 2 large suitcases plus hand luggage was awkward. However, the room was lovely and clean, well maintained and bed very comfy. Shower excellent & good complimentary toiletries. Reception staff very welcoming, kind & helpful. Always a smile & happy to help. Lots of lifts so no long wait. Complimentary freshly made cookies & chilled bottles of water available on request. Excellent location 2 blocks from Times Square & just a little further to Madison Square Gardens. Short walk to bus tour routes. We have enjoyed our stay here and would be happy to recommend.

I know space is a premium in Manhattan. So, ok, the room was small. It was tidy. But, check-in was an hour long process. Elevators - let’s just say I wouldn’t have used them if I didn’t know they were the DoubleTree’s elevators. Nasty. Pieces missing. Just dodgy looking. The room furniture - it screams IKEA, so affordable but just not what I expected. Shower was nice. Sink was nice but the bathroom shelving …. Let’s just say, that was not thought out. Otherwise, location, location, location.

Overall a convenient place to stay but rooms are a bit small. Check-in counter reps need some attitude readjustment and/or training (not friendly). Valet parking after 11pm is either not available or outsourced. Don’t ask the people at the check-in counter because they don’t know anything about it.

I booked this room through Expedia but when we arrived at the property I was told we had been sold a room that they didn’t actually have available. I was told by the property manager that Expedia would issue a refund; they didn’t. I then submitted a refund claim to my credit card company, only to have them deny my claim because the property said the service had been provided. Very frustrating experience.
