I like that the hotel was located in the French Quarter but I did not like the room they originally put me in located next to the elevator. The elevator was too noisy and there is a stark comparison between the rooms with the street view and the rooms facing the courtyard. The beds should also be sprayed for bedbugs. I came back with some bite marks on my legs.

Quaint hotel in the heart of the French Quarter. It worked well for a quick 12 hour overview of Nola. The hotel room was clean, but it did have an odd musty smell to it. I would stay again though- Thank you, for your hospitality!

We really enjoyed how accessible it was to various points of interest including Jackson Square, the Riverwalk Shopping Outlet, Bourbon St, the Audobon Aquarium, the shops on Royal St, the outdoor market, Ceasar's Casino, and bars/dinning options. The overall hotel was nice and as advertised and the walkability factor cannot be overstated. It had a beautiful courtyard, 2 lounges, spacious rooms/showers, onsite valet, and the price point was fair given the location. Unfortunately, the beds were very uncomfortable causing difficulty in sleeping and body aches each morning. Another point that made my husband uncomfortable was that the doors appeared to have either suffered from a previous break-in or were flimsy enough to be broken down with very little force which posed a potential safety concern. Of note, the elevator required keycard access so we were slightly (though not entirely) molified in terms of safety. Overall, though it was a perfectly acceptable stay we would not return to this specific hotel purely based on how sore we were after 3 nights in their beds. In this case the bed was/is the deciding factor. If you have no pre-existing back issues or prefer a very firm bed then this may be exactly the place for you otherwise you may want to look elsewhere.

It’s an older hotel, which nothing is wrong with that. Our room had an odor, not cleaned very well and they give you one-ply toilet tissue! It’s a good location but the facilities could be better.

The hotel has a very strong mold oder. The smell mad it hard for me to stay in my room for long periods of time. It was just awful for me.

I liked the employees, they were GREAT! The property (I know is old) but the smell of old, moldy, and wet was very strong. I got home and everything I took out of my bag smelled like the room. The rugs in the room has not been vacuumed since maybe NEVER. The bedskrit was old and sloppy on the bed, the refridgerator was not cleaned (I cleaned it myself).I stayed out of the room for most of my time there due to me not being comfortable because of the nasty moldy smell.

Property was nice, quiet, secure, close to Bourbon. Parking is expensive at $50 a night. The elderly woman working the front desk was extremely rude and not welcoming. Not only to us but to other guests in our presence. Gentleman who works the desk at night is polite and informative, young lady working desk was also pleasant.

The location is close to everything French Quarter, a little noisy but that's expected if staying close to Bourbon st. Our room was clean and comfortable, staff are friendly especially Stacy from front desk. Will definitely stay again.

The staff at check in were very nice, however our room was dirty, a light in the bathroom did not work, and we did not get any sleep due to the loud music and drunk guests banging on doors and windows

We enjoyed our stay at The Mazarin. The room was nice, spacious, and clean. It’s in a great location, just steps away from Canal and Bourbon Street. I knocked off one star because on the first night, a jazz band started playing in the hotel just as we were about to go to sleep. And then on our second last night, the fire alarm went off and everyone had to evacuate the hotel at 1:00am. Other than that, it’s a great place to stay.
