We are up in the mountains. To get to the cabin, the last 1 mile is a gravel road – most cars should be fine getting in and out. The last 50 yards is the steepest. My old Corolla with 250K miles makes it up every time. During snow, main roads and driveway are treated if snow is 4” or more. 4WD is recommended then.

We are on a well, water is filtered and treated; however, we encourage you to bring your drinking water as tap water may occasionally have a light smell of minerals.

Keep doors closed all the time to keep nature’s creatures out. Please also clean up crumbs, and do not leave any food outside. The house is surrounded by wildlife, do not tempt them by leaving food where it is accessible.

This is a NO SMOKING, NO PARTY/EVENTS, and NO PETS in this mountain house. County ordinance imposes quiet time from 9pm to 6am. Violations of these policies may result in immediate termination of the stay.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cottage, which features a fireplace. There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as charcoal grills.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

Cabin for 90th Birthday Party
Our stay at the cabin was a very fun time! The cabin was clean, and it was exactly as described. Having 3 full bathrooms was a big plus, with plenty of towels, and the bedrooms were perfect. The kitchen was stocked with the basics needed. As suggested, bringing your own drinking water is best! The only thing we could have used were some bigger pans/serving dishes since we had a larger group, but we anticipated that in advance! The property is beautiful and we saw deer and turkeys during our stay! New Market is a wonderful town with great little restaurants (Southern Kitchen and Jacksons Corner Cafe), yummy ice cream at Pack's (a must!) and a great place just to walk around and see the shops. Our family really enjoyed the stay and all voted that we would come back again!

Splendid mountain getaway
We loved staying here! The house is in the mountains and felt secluded and private. As a heads up, there is a bit of a trek up a gravel road to the house, so some cars might struggle, but our cars handled it fine. The house had ample space that very comfortably accommodated our group of three couples. We cooked most of our meals in the spacious kitchen + dining room, and also enjoyed s'mores by the fire pit one night. One of the highlights of this property is its perfect blend of seclusion and accessibility. Tucked away in the mountains, it offers a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Despite its secluded location, the house is conveniently located within reach of various attractions. New Market is the closest downtown (~15 min), but we were also within driving distance of Shenandoah (~60 minutes to the park entrance) as well as Harrisonburg and Luray (~30 minutes each). The house had four bedrooms: two suites (with bathtubs and an attached shower hose) and two additional bedrooms (one with a daybed) with a shared bathroom with a full shower. There is plenty of common areas as well, with a large kitchen/dining/sitting area, a living room, and a large porch. The hosts provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, towels, and linens. They also had a shelf with books, games, and jigsaw puzzles, which we took advantage of! There is AC as well, which we definitely took advantage of. For checkout, they just asked us to take out the trash and run the

Lovely Property and Kind Hosts for Perfect Vacation Rental
We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO! The property was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The host was very responsive and helpful. The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to do. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Shenandoah. Here are some specific details about the property that we enjoyed: The property was very clean and well-maintained. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were soft. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals. The living room was spacious and comfortable. The backyard was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. The host was very responsive and helpful. They answered all of our questions promptly and even helped us with a few things during our stay.

Excellent Home and Location
Great location, not too far away from the Shenandoah National Park. Spent a lovely week enjoying the mountains and the peaceful setting of the home. House was spacious and well-equipped with nice touches to the interior. Outdoor fire pit was nice, with plenty of wood and seating. Hosts were great, very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

There were directions left in home for check out process, the kitchen water pressure was low. The master bedroom tub wouldn’t close to enjoy the tub. The opposite master didn’t have a closet. The outdoor furniture was dirty and not organized. 1 pot and one pan when the house is st up for 8. Owner said he would give us later check out time and went back on his word. I will never return.

Just what we wanted!
We were looking for a quiet, relatively secluded property to spend our spring break and this place was exactly what we wanted! We loved sitting on the deck reading and watching the birds, squirrels, and deer out in the woods. The house had everything we needed to cook our meals and the internet worked well for our evening movie watching (we brought our own projector). If we are ever coming back to the area we would definitely consider staying here again!

We stayed in early March for a quick getaway. The house was immaculate and very spacious. The house is situated up on a mountain and is very quiet. We loved hanging out and also driving into the park for hiking or touring local attractions. Would stay here again! Thank you

Quiet, Relaxing & Spacious
The property was exactly as listed. It is tucked up in the mountains and offered quiet and relaxation. The pre-arrival guide had all we needed. Check in was a breeze. The home was spacious and allowed everyone to have their own room and privacy. Everyone pretty much had their own bathroom, which was great. Plenty of towels (and nice quality)! We relaxed with our morning coffee on the back deck/patio and listened to nothing but the trees swaying in the breeze. We enjoyed ourselves. Thank you!!
