Overall we really liked the British Colonial House. It was clean, most of the staff were friendly, and we felt very safe. On the downside the food prices are ridiculously high and the staff, particularly at the breakfast restaurant, paid us zero attention. The service was so bad that after the second day we ate all of our meals next door at the Margaritaville restaurants. We would definitely stay there again but we would plan to find other places to dine.

I like the proximity to downtown. The buffet breakfast was horrible and the service was poor. The cost didn’t justify the lousy food the only excellent service We got there at the restaurant was the bill: prompt.

The hotel is beautiful perfectly located for downtown Nassau exploring. The pool and little private beach are really nice. The staff is a little uneven; some very friendly and outgoing, some seemed a little detached. No one was UNfriendly, though. My only disappointment was the food - pricey and not great. That said, I would definitely stay there again and had a nice time.

The beach and pool are wonderful. Most of the staff are great. The rooms are clean and have great views. The free water sports are great. The service at the dining areas is lacking. The food and drink prices are very high. There is hardly any dining options outside the hotel. Since the area is centered around the cruise ships just about everywhere closes by 5-6pm.

The customer service was amazing, I had a great time. The staff is very attentive. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is beacuse housekeeping didnt get to our room until the last night. The manager and staff were very apologetic, and made up for it. I will definitely stay there again. The location is great and walkable to everything down town and to Fish Fry.

The staff at the British Colonial are doing just the minimum. Its very obvious. Took 45 minutes just to check in. Room smelled musty and dinghy. Service in restaurants was horrible. Took 50 minutes to get a simple breakfast. Waittress didn’t care enough to check to see what took so long. Service throughout property was awful. The immediate area is not safe at night. This hotel is nowhere near a4 or 5 star hotel. Go somewhere else. No one cares at this hotel and it shows.
