Hillsboro Village is a slice of southern charm tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Nashville. Eat dinner like a local at the historic Brown’s Diner which has continuously served Nashvillians since 1927 when it opened as a mule drawn trolley car. Other local restaurants are the famous Pancake Pantry and coffee enthusiast haven Fido. Don’t forget to consider eating brunch at Biscuit Love or Ruby Sunshine. The Grilled Cheeserie offers a unique and memorable lunch experience. The Village also hosts familiar favorites like Hopdoddy, Double Dogs, Jeni’s, and Crumbl Cookies. Provisions are plentiful as well with a Kroger grocery store and Village Wines located a short walk away down tree lined 21st Avenue. Looking for something to do? The Belcourt Theatre has been operating in the Village since 1925 and screens a variety of films every day. AnzieBlue, AB, offers regular live music performances. On a sunny day it’s hard to beat Fannie Mae Dees Park, better known to locals as Dragon Park for its large mosaic dragon sculpture. Shopping opportunities abound with the Village’s flower shop, jewelry stores, and numerous clothing shops like Posh, Altar’d State, Molly Green, Rebecca James, Dress Up, Festivity, UAL, and the Nash Collection. All of this is located in just a small 5 block radius largely in beautiful, historic brick buildings. Several distinctive artworks and murals ad to the ambience of the neighborhood.

Nearby and within walking distance is Vanderbilt University and its medical center. Also nearby is the commercial district at 12th South, Belmont University, Music Row, and Nashville's Centennial park and full sized replica parthenon. The Village is located less than two miles from the heart of Nashville’s downtown scene and the trip can be made by foot, Nashville’s WeGo’s Number 7 Bus which runs every 20 minutes, car, or rental bike.

Downtown Nashville is home to a potpourri of exciting attractions. Pay homage to the legends at the Country Music Hall of Fame or get tickets for a show at the Ryman Auditorium. See a show at the Ascend Amphitheater or take in some history at the Tennessee State Museum.

Location and Parking are perfect!
The location is walking distance to all of Hillsboro Village. I loved that we could walk to Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities. We had everything we needed for a great visit. I loved that we could park right out front and it felt very safe. I have stayed in Nashville many times and this is one of the best spots to stay.

Perfect, clean, cute place in Hillsboro Village
If you are looking for a very clean, nice, perfect place to stay with family or friends and be able to walk to some of the best restaurants (especially for breakfast) around, this is the place for you! We enjoyed our first trip to Nashville so much & staying here made it even better! Close to the village to be able to walk to all the cute places to eat or shop or get ice cream or even groceries! Absolutely will be back and would definitely stay here again! Thank you Molly for everything! We had the BEST time and your place was simply perfect!

Nice find!
This place was clean, cozy, and functional with all of the basic/expected amenities. The location was ideal for us going to and from Belmont and we especially loved the proximity of restaurants and shops to which we could easily walk in about 5 minutes give or take. This included the Pancake Pantry, Biscuit Love, Ruby Sunshine, and Jeni's ice cream. We also loved the free parking space which is a gem in this town. We were in the first floor unit with two units above us. We did hear some noise through the ceiling, and in particular in the morning, the early risers above us scooting their chairs in and out did wake us up. Also, the air conditioning system was loud in the living room. At night, we shut our door to the our room and it did not bother us. Overall, we did like this place and would stay here again!

Nashville visit
Be aware that AC unit is very loud when it turns on. Renders conversation almost null. Granddaughter loved her room. Super close to the downtown and nice area for evening walks. We were on the lower floor and all 4 units were booked. Not much noise from upstairs neighbors. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Lots of cute shops. Need to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap or body wash as none is provided. If you go prepared for that you'll be good to go! Loved our first visit to Nashville.

Fun in Nashville.
The location of this property was great. we did a lot of walking from here. (Parking in Nashville is outrageous!) The unit was clean and neat. There were certain amenities missing. There was no body wash/soap in the tub/shower. No washcloths in the bathroom. Silverware was sparse. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, I would recommend this unit.

Great location with lots in walking distance and easy drive to many key areas in Nashville. Apartment as advertised on quiet street in nice neighborhood. Nice Park nearby as well as tasty restaurant choices. Kitchen cooking stuff adequate in terms of pots and pans, nice assortment of spices, sugar and coffee to use. Beds were comfy. We stayed in downstairs apartment and it was loud in master bedroom when folks above us came home late at night- could be better soundproofing between floors. AC was also loud but worked well. Overall we would stay here again given price and nice location.

Family fun
Comfortable beds. Not enough seating in living room to have conversations. A/c very loud. Need to provide bathcloths and hand towels. Plenty of dishes and glasses but not so for flatware…only 2 spoons….hard for 4 adults to eat ice cream without sharing spoons. Great location. We paid for an additional parking space which was not necessary since parking was first come first serve and there were no designated spaces just an open pad.

Nashville Family Vacation
Title: Mixed Experience at Short-Term Rental Our recent stay at the short-term vacation rental was a mix of positives and negatives. The property has been updated nicely, and the furniture was mostly functional, which added to our comfort during the stay. However, several issues detracted from the overall experience. One of the main issues we encountered was with the bathroom trash cans. They lacked liners, and the one we managed to find had a hole in it, indicating prior use. This oversight made the bathroom experience less than pleasant. Furthermore, there were drainage problems in the showers, forcing us to stand in dirty water while showering. This was quite inconvenient and detracted from the otherwise modern feel of the rental. Additionally, we had to deal with a beeping smoke detector battery, which required us to replace it ourselves. This maintenance issue should have been addressed before our arrival. Lastly, the kitchen was lacking in essential food prep items, such as a scrub brush or washcloth for doing dishes. This made preparing simple dinners a bit challenging and added unnecessary frustration to our stay. In conclusion, while the property’s updates and functional furniture were positives, the issues with the bathroom trash cans, shower drains, smoke detector, and kitchen amenities detracted significantly from our overall satisfaction with the rental.

It’s In the Details
Location can’t be beat, check in was easy and everything was neat and clean. A few considerations though - may want to offer some healthier snacks, water and libations that have broader appeal as well as creamers to go with the coffee, maybe a coffee/tea tray. Basically, to watch TV there is only seating for (maybe) 3. Another comfortable chair vs. the one that is there which is not really suited for lounging. The internet was spotty and did not support most stations so we weren’t able to watch it. Beds and linens were comfy. The bathroom towel sets and bath mats are worn and due for an update. And, since it was raining so much, we felt that a doormat - inside or out - would help as well as a place to hang jackets. The place is very cute and having some experience with both sides of rentals, there would be added benefit in providing a few additional creature comforts.

Thanksgiving
My wife and I plus our dog met our daughter and son-in-law plus their dog to spend Thanksgiving with our son that lives in Nashville. We had a wonderful time. The furnace failed and I contacted Molly who sent the HVAC technician out right away. As soon as he determined that it would take a couple of days to get the needed parts, she sent enough space heaters to keep us plenty warm. The HVAC tech came and fixed the furnace as soon as he had the parts. What could have been a chilly Thanksgiving was anything but that. We would definitely rent the condo again.

OVERPRICED.com
Based on the price tag, the abode was hugely disappointing. The recent rehab job described in the listing seems to have been a do-it-yourself job that no respectable subcontractor would claim. Lumpy floors, old cable wiring cutoff in sight, baseboards with shims in sight. A floor lamp in one bedroom (without a light bulb) placed for no apparent rhyme or reason, the toilet seat in one bathroom not secured tightly (although good exercise for core strength). Owner advised renter to consult YouTube for instructions to operate a complicated HVAC thermostat. Renter never discovered a way to get the fan to operate to a "dull roar" over conversation. The lighting is great for real estate show purposes in the Vrbo listing, but it hides the reality that the unit is a lower floor cave, with no dimmers to create a more restful environment when desired. Given the price tag, suggest at a minimum providing a backup roll of paper towels for guests staying 5 nights. My first Vrbo may have been my last.
