Enjoyed our stay with quiet solitude and a tranquil lake setting. Cabin was clean and well-appointed. Morning coffee on the covered porch was especially enjoyable with wildlife and wooded scenes.

Birthday Fishing Trip
We booked a two night stay as a little getaway for my husbands birthday. We spent the days out on the dock fishing and the evenings cooking our favorite meals and watching movies. It was the perfect escape and we look forward to booking again in the future.

Girls weekend 2024
This is our second time staying at the same house. we rented it in 2023 and glad it was available for this year. if we go back to brown county will def try to rent the same cabin again. Fireplace remote didn't work so they left instructions how to turn it on, but it wouldn't turn on, so think the pilot light might have been out. we grilled both nights; grill could be updated, the part where the charcoal sits is rusted through with holes. two small things that did not affect our trip at all! definitely recommend this house and area.

Weekend Stay
Nice quite place a little off the main road. Sits on top a hill that you need to be prepared to get to. Sterp gravel road but very manageable. Pleasant view when you get there. Main bedroom has a foam mattress. If this isn't your style bed you may not sleep well.

A few days away
We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It is very secluded and quiet. We were hoping to catch some fish but after 3 different attempts it was pretty much a no go! Oh well, the pontoon was an extra perk though.

Love the Redwood Cabin
We rented this cabin while my husband and I were in town for the IU Parent's Weekend. We are from CO and wanted our daughter to have a little break from campus for a night or two. The cabin is pet friendly which was so important to us. We have a senior dog who really missed his person (my daughter). The location is just outside of downtown Nashville. Beautiful setting in the trees and on a small lake. We enjoyed the fire pit and large yard. The kitchen is well appointed. I was able to make chili for my daughter, and had everything I needed to do so. The fire pit area was all set up and ready to go when we got there. Beds were super comfortable. We will be back.

Anniversary weekend.
My wife and I had an amazing time at this wonderfully kept vintage cabin. The entire house was very clean and had all the amenities to help us enjoy the weekend. The lake was a short walk down the hill and had great fishing! The home itself is in perfect distance from downtown Nashville and Brown County State Park. We definitely would recommend this location to any one we knew and we plan on visiting again some day.

Not much fun here!
The road leading back to this house is almost impassable it’s so washed away! We were in a four wheel drive truck and still were terrified to even leave this house due to the condition of the road. The pontoon boat didn’t run and my husband spent hours trying to get it going and going back and forth with owner who would try different things to get it going but wouldn’t test it after. Hence our nightmare with the boat. We soon realized the owner lives in the house next door above the pond and can clearly see every little thing you do. He is also building something on the other side of our cabin where large machinery is running from 8am to 8pm and again they can see everything you do at the cabin from both sides and good luck enjoying outdoors amidst all the noise. Description also doesn’t tell you that you will be hoofing it up and down and very large and steep hill every time you want to go to the pond. Also you will be carrying a very heavy battery up and down for the boat. Our time here was absolutely horrific and I recommend you look into these issues before ever renting this property.

Peaceful
It was private and peaceful. Very relaxing. Disappointed that this listing didn't mention that you couldn't go swimming that my kids were looking forward to doing. The shower head left a lot to be desired too. Smelled musty but was clean and comfortable.

Nightmare
Checked in on wednesday, lost power on Thursday, tree fell across the only road we knew to come in on. No power no water left a day early. Burned all the candles to the end. Husband had to use old matches with a needle nose plier to get them lit. Hot as hades. Nearly killed myself tripping off the odd stairs at top of the the loft have a bruised underarm that saved my life hanging of the tope banister and broke a toe. Now on a good note, loved the front porch and husband got to fish, but its a long way down and back up from the pond. No one can predict the storm that ripped through both there and at our home town. However you are planning to stay take emergency gallons of water to flush the toilet as the water runs out quickly when the pump (electric) stops. Not your fault, but would love some compenstation.
