Group vacation
We had 13 people, ages 18-78. Perfect house for a group vacation. Beautiful property. There was a slight problem with frozen pipes the first night and they could not have been more accommodating about offering us options. Friendly, helpful and just overall wonderful interactions with everyone involved. We would stay here again.

Great house in a quiet setting
Property was nice and spacious. The location is tucked back behind a lake and gives you a feeling of being secluded. Plenty of room in the house for the eight adults that were on this trip. I would stay here again if I came back to the area.

Awesome Property!!!
We came with friends for the Beta Club convention with our teenage daughter. Rather than staying in the extremely busy Gaylord we stayed in this beautiful home. The view was breathtaking, Super peaceful. Easy drive into Franklin that had a wonderful grocery store. Such a pleasant stay we hope to come back

Spacious & Serene
This is a very beautiful retreat with lots of space both inside and out. Our group took advantage of the lovely sauna, hot tub, and dip tank. The kitchen is commercial size, making group prep a breeze. Big living spaces for game nights, chats, and movie watching. Since we're out in the woods, it's important for guests to know that little critters are everywhere, even a few inside who will get into any food you leave out. The beds are not the most comfortable, but there are plenty of options. Wade is a delightful caretaker who took care of anything we needed. Thank you!

Lakeside Retreat
Size was good. Layout was a bit odd. We had to bring in water for drinking and coffee as the well water had a lot of sulphur.

Wonderful house surrounded by nature and peace
We had an amazing time at this property. The house is gorgeous and so big. Coming from Chicago this house was exactly what we needed to recharge ourselves. The house is huge with plenty attractions to see and do. We had sauna, hot tub and ping pong for our use. There is a hiking trail around the house. Also, a paddle boat is a big plus. Kids had so much fun by being surrounded by the nature. We would definitely come back back again. Wade is awesome and we could rely on him any time. Thank you!

Beautiful property
This is a great house on a beautiful private property. There are hiking trails that start at the house. The private lake is just in front of the house. We did several cooking projects to stock our freezers and socialize. I brought my own boat but there were several available for rent. The reason the review is 4 stars instead of 5 is it needed a thorough cleaning and an exterminator. While it looked clean on initial entry, there were mice droppings under furniture and behind small appliances, and considerable dirt under the furniture. The property manager promised to take care of it but I'd ask specifically when the last deep clean was before I booked it again. The mattresses are not top quality, but that's not too surprising given the relatively low price for a huge house and property.

Extraordinary retreat spot
The location is unparalleled where no worldly noises disturbed our stay. The amount of community space was wonderful giving us lots of space to enjoy the family time. The kitchen was very amenable to several cooks in the kitchen working together. Many special memories were left in the valley. Chief among the children's memories were the animals at the farm and the carrots in Mr. Wade's garden. Wade was an exceptional host. Thank you.

It was Okay!
The size of this property was very good! A few disappointments along the way. We were only able to enjoy the hot tub one night, which was a big factor in our booking. There were electrical problems with lights going out in several areas. There was a problem with ants crawling over jelly that had been left on the shelf. The sinks were difficult to do dishes in and there was no dishwasher. We made it work with a large bucket. If you have allergies I would not recommend. I’m guessing because it had been closed up and it’s an old building it had a musty smell and most of us felt stuffed up with scratchy throats until we could get outside for a bit. That being said, I have to say that once again Wade was wonderful and accommodating with quick replies as to what we needed. He even brought us a crop from his greenhouse! We made this house work but I preferred the previous house that we rented last year closer to the animals and better hiking area.

Worst vrbo experince to date and it’s not close
Had a horrible experience. The place looked nothing like the pictures online. One of the “bedrooms” was a closet turned into a bedroom that you could only access by going through another bedroom. The property manager at check in was extremely hands on. We just wanted to get on with our stay and he stayed at the property for over 30 minutes asking us questions. Make sure you read the owners rules that are very restrictive and off putting. The property is in a remote location which we liked but found it very weird that we needed to have parking permits in the windows. Come to find out that in the rules if you ever plan to have anyone that is not staying at the property out that they will be considered trespassing and they will tell you all to vacate the property immediately. The rules state that any un registered visitors are trespassing and that they require photo ID verification for anyone staying there, which is very odd. We were told to leave on day two because we had a group of people out for the day for a couple hours and they were not registered. We had booked the property for 5 days and needed to find alternate lodging mid stay. The owner John Oppenheimer and his manager Wade lacked any form of professionalism and communication and have ruined my desire to use vrbo in the future.

Thanksgiving Family Retreat
The setting for this property is absolutely wonderful; the management was very accommodating. The disappointing aspect of our stay was the home needs some tlc - several things were not operational - gas grill and the hot tub which were both advertised in the listing. The home coiuld use a thorough cleaning and minor repairs. The area under the master bath sink was damp with mildew.

A Good Learning Opportunity
I had never rented a house before, so this was an education. In general, I learned that you need to be aware of that the advertised per night cost may be simply an example for, say a group of four. Ask what the cost will be for the number of people in your party (per person, per night). Be sure to ask for a complete list of fees and the amounts that will charged for your size party. Know what is included, and what isn't. Just because something's in a picture doesn't mean it's included. Be aware of restrictions, and understand the kind of property you're renting. Having said this, the property we rented was just what my family needed for our weekend gathering. We enjoyed it immensely, and would consider renting it again for a longer stay.

The property location is beautiful and we had a great family time; however, it could use more robust maintenance and cleaning. Overall, the staff seem spread too thin.

Read carefully
This is a very beautiful piece of property but the house does need some updates. The beds in the rooms are very uncomfortable and the doors are had to close in the master bedroom. Be aware of the many fees attached to the house by the end of our stay they were double what the house rental costs… Wade was a wonderful man that checked us into the house and was very helpful!

Great place for family reunion
Great place. Spacious and comfortable living room, well furnished kitchen, separate entertainment area and wrap around porch overlooking beautiful scenery. As it’s description indicates it is secluded and that is part of the beauty. Had one miscommunication but owner quickly remedied the issue to our satisfaction. We would rent again without hesitation.
