We were a bit disappointed with this place because the reviews and photos were so good, but the reality is, the inn feels very different than the courtyard rooms. When I booked, I didn't realize there was a difference, so that's on me, but I also wouldn't have expected the experience to be that much different. IMO, the inn portion isn't worthy of the 8.0+ rating on here-- the villa / courtyard rooms are probably worthy of that rating. They looked nice when we walked past them and looked inside. The courtyard is beautiful and relaxing.
The room in the inn portion felt like a remodeled Motel 6, so not bad but not worth the price we ended up paying.
The sleeping area was great. Nice beds. Clean flowers. Nice tv with Roku.
The shower had some mold (not terrible, but worth noting). Worse though, the bathtub didn't drain which is kinda gross in hotels.
Plugs for microwave and fridge didn't work, which isn't a deal breaker, but again worth noting. Had to throw away our leftovers.
Lots of noise traffic on the inn-side. Loud motorcycles could be heard clearly.
Staff was friendly when we told them about our issues. I think it's family run / managed.
Location is great. Within 2 miles of the main public beach. A little farther to Barefoot Beach. For that reason, we may stay again but will make sure to stay in villas / courtyard rooms.
