Great deal for the price! Walkable to other areas, easy parking, and the breakfast buffet (mostly Japanese) had a good selection. The hotel also has an onsen (one outdoor) within its grounds. The beds and pillows were too hard for me, but overall, great value for money!

Place was okay, clean enough but not to standard. If you're ok to just sleep there then I would recommend it but you get what you pay for on the cost since it was cheap. I would not recommend it for someone who has a higher standards. But if it's just a place to have a base because you're out and about all day, then it's fine. No on amenities in the room. I would recommend using the onsen in the hotel, it was. They also have a outdoor one in the hotel and it was lovely in the evening.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities
Hallway on 6th floor smelly cigarette.
Mattress and Blanket so dirty had blood and hair on there.
Does not have body wash, shampoo, conditioner or hair dryer in room can use only in public onsen.
Staffs can not speak English.
Good breakfast.
Free shuttle bus to Yubakata on Friday and Saturday.
This place was absolutely awesome! I don't understand the complaints of some of the other reviewers who are crying about "it being a far walk" or "old" because it is at most a 10 minute walk to the Yubatake and it is a beautiful hotel with incredible views from the top room floors. Unless you are a very unfit person and walk very slowly, the walk to the Yubatake is short and nice going through the hot spring town of Kusatsu. The entrance to Sainokawara Park is even closer, with the hotel towering over the entire forest that the park is located in. It is a beautiful town to wander around at night with the beautiful changing lights at the Yubatake and in Sainokawara Park, and during the day has many shops filled with kind people selling unique souvenirs. I can speak Japanese, which was helpful as most people in this town did not speak much English. The buffet-style of food was some of the best at a hotel I've had in Japan, and the hot springs were very relaxing with beautiful views of the forest outside. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next trip to Kusatsu.
Hotel near attraction but the walk way so hard and very tried like you claiming to mountain. The room clean and good view but you have to take a shower at Onsen they will provide full amenities. Onsen outdoor was good and relaxed. Dinner have many choices of food and unlimit of Beer but the time for dinner only from 5.30PM to 7.00 PM. So hotel provide bus to Yubatake but have a time l. Overall will good for pay less hotel staff speak english very poor but they helpful.
I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. For the price, the package is excellent. I was fortunate to get a room in 10th floor with excellent views of Sainokawara park. The staff was very nice and helped to drop us off at bus terminal as well.
The hotel has a feeling and looks of 80's skiing hotel. Be prepared to climb the hill to get there. It is not long hike, but very steep one. If feels like the place hasn't been upgraded ever since. Hotel staff is very old as is the customer base. The hotel has really big 24h spa in ground floor with two pools. One inside and one outside.
Only recommend if price is right and you wish to visit other spas around it.
Staff were very polite and helpful, room was very clean and tidy, there was a verity of different foods available, which is included in the price of the hotel, so you get breakfast and dinner, very close to a verity of hot spring
Price is good. You can't complain much when you pay less comparing to the hotels close to this. If someone complain on their dinner/breakfast, they can skip it as the price is cheap and come with "free" dinner and breakfast.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
OK but a little bit far from the major attractions
The hotel is quiet as it is off the main road and is not near the Yubatake; it is about a 20 min walk (downhill). Checked with the front desk and they offered free transportation to go to Yubatake and back. Free wifi in the lobby only. Check out time is 9:30 am, which I thought was early when compared with other hotels.
Budget oszen hotel but nice room with good service
Budget oszen hotel but nice big room with good service!
Affordable price Japanese oszen hotel half board buffet meals , running organizations services! There have really nice 100% oszen spa, one in indoor and one in outdoor are really nice for the cool weather at kusatsu onsen!
Very nice hotel,we had a room on the top floor( 10 th) with a beautiful view. The room was big and comfortable.Hotel staff speak little English but very nice, polite and helpfull. The food was tasteful and a huge variety of fresh fish (in Australia very ,very expensive) .The onsen was clean and very well maintained, supplies of shampoos, conditions, body wash ,body and faces creams....come back definitely.
