Budget hotel - does the job for a one night stay, rooms were fine but could do with a little more ventilation.

The lady at customer service was excellent. But it was too noisy from upstairs.
All the rooms were full so we had to sleep in some other random hotel they put us in. Mould everywhere, wet floor and sheets. Human poo under bed and in shower. Was the worst experience ever
The property is nothing like the photos. No water in the showers so we had to complain frequently. Floor was back with dust when we arrived and taps were falling apart. Would not stay here again. The staff are nice and admit this place is falling apart.
The Grand Melanesian was a convenient location for an early flight from Nadi airport, but unfortunately that was the only positive.
When we arrived the lady checkin couldn’t find our booking (even though I had the confirmation email). We also ordered a wakeup call at 4:15, but it was made to us at 4:45 (luckily I set my own alarm just in case).
Our room booking said the room had a balcony (it didn’t). It was also a very noisy place to stay (our window was right next to the outside staircase) and you could hear all the noise from the corridors.
When we arrived at the hotel, they did not have a room for us. We paid and booked 4 days in advance. We had to go to another hotel. No phone call or emails were sent to apologize and warn us about their mistake.
We are still waiting to get a refund of this night we haven't spent there.

1 night stay was ok, however, were billeted on the 3rd floor with no lift. Having take and bring back luggage all the way. Thankful to the staff to have helped with luggage. Ok for a nights stay.

Things that we liked about this place; The staff are very helpful especially the Fijian staff. We liked the size of the room and bathroom. However bathroom floor was flooded before we even got to use it.
Things that we didn’t like; cockroaches (small ones) on top of the fridge, the photo shows nice swimming pool but upon checking it ‘‘twas full of molds and algae, water appeared cloudy and noticed someone sprinkling (powdered chemicals) ? Bleach.
Place has no elevator. Aircon took ages to work and not cold enough.
But other than that I score this place 3/5 because of the staff 😊
