Worst experience checking in. Tru Hilton cancelled my reservation the morning of my check in, I booked through Expedia and was told my reservation couldnt be found. I had to call Expedia and was on hold for an hour only to be told that the hotel (Hilton) had canceled the reservation. Then Expedia and Hilton went back and forth trying to figure out how to get me checked in. I had already paid and had to repay on my card at the front desk to check in, i was told that they would issue a refund later. It shouldn't take an hour and a half to get checked in. It was embarrassing standing there as other people were checked in 4 different parties, while I waited on Expedia and the front desk agent who messaged his manager at the start of this situation and when I politely asked if he could escalate it to his manager he said “my manager has not replied to me since I tried contacting them earlier” this happened at about 445pm on Friday August 16th. The manager should have been readily available to hep resolve this situation. I dont blame the front desk agent at all, he was doing his best, this is a systems issue with Hilton and Expedia.
