I thoughly enjoyed our stay in Munich, Germany. Hotel Galleria was no small part in this.
The good:
The location was excellent for a family. It's a 5 min drive away from the zoo and a 10 min walk from the river. My kids dug a mud pit to catch fish and it was ridiculas, but they had a blast and it was free.
Up the street was an italian restaurant called, De Vivo's. It was reasonable priced and great food.
The room had bunkbeds for the kids, which they loved, but my back did not.
The bad:
The room was small and the TV was the size of a postage stamp.
I won't grip about a free breakfest, but it was the same food everyday (rolls, cold meats, yougurt and hard boiled eggs). Scrambled eggs, hot meats and croissants would have blown my mind :)
The room was smaller but we spent most of our time outside, so it didnt really matter too much.
The weird?
It's an art Deco hotel, so just looking around at the art was kinda cool. The bathroom had a sign saying they wouldn't be remodeling so stop asking. They also gave us a keycard to open the door after 11pm, because it wasn't manned. For a younger family this wasn't a problem, but i could see party types not liking this.
