The house is a bit outdated and a little run down, but overall, the accommodations was a decent night stay and relatively close to Volcano National Park. For what we paid for, we were not expecting a Hilton or a HoJos and nor should you. The bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean, we also had use of the entire living room and kitchen—and pleasantly surprised to a light breakfast (coffee, bagels, peanut butter, jam, etc...), which we made in the morning, and ate on the lanai overlooking the lush property, filled with native vegetation and fruit trees. Leon, our host, gave us great tips on what to do at night, and it was totally worth it. Thanks!
Note, the location is in a mostly unpaved road off the main highway, we rented an SUV so it was no problem.
