Promised a hot tub, turns out it had been out of commission more than a week. No notice was sent to us and no rebate offered. We were going to have dinner in the restaurant , after we were seated, we decided to leave. 3 men at the bar were drunk and using language and making inappropriate comments. Definitely not a family environment. The room was decent but could have been cleaner. When we arrived i asked if the coffee maker in the room had decaf, i was told that if there is a coffee maker in the room and there was no decaf i should feel free to come back to get some....thats not customer service thats the customer doing the service. The mountain is lovely to look at, but next time i would sleep elsewhere.

Nice spacious bedroom and bathroom with a balcony. Indoor swimming pool and spa. In house restaurant. Only negative about the room is that the refrigerator had no freezer and the fridge didn’t get cold enough to keep drinks and food cold enough. When complained about it they gave me three frozen water bottles and offered their freezer located at the main office. So very inconvenient! They did send someone to check the fridge and was told I had one of the better working fridge in the hotel. I think it’s time they look into this very inconvenient matter that guests take for granted is in good working condition when they book their reservations.

Very unique property! Lots of wood carvings and rustic touches. Loved that we had 2 king beds and a separate bedroom. A little dusty in the restaurant and service was less than perfect. Food was ok; not great. Quiet and a view of Mount Shasta (slightly obstructed). All in all it was a nice stay!

Everything about our stay was great except the hot tub wasn’t working. We did choose this hotel so that we would have access to a hot tub after our long hikes so this was pretty disappointing. It would’ve been nice to have known this at check-in.

Dinner was a bust
I broke my ankle in an accident before my stay and the waiter made us stay outside the restaurant with our dog (who is very well behaved) at a table with a high chair where I couldn't rest my leg. He was snippy, I had to ask for straws and tartar sauce for fried fish. Too bad for him.

Staff was very friendly and the immediate surrounding area has restaurants convenience stores and everything you need. Its also on the road leading directly up to Mt Shasta! This hotel could not be more convenient!!

OK but would not return
Room was in decent condition. Hotel charged for included breakfast and wouldn't reverse charge. Had to spend 30min on the phone with the credit card company disputing the charge. Also, there was a lot of truck noise.

A great property. Very nice and clean and comfortable. One problem: very low toilets if you are older or compromised. Also, only bathtubs/with shower although there is a nice grab bar and the bathtub is fairly low. If you have physical issues, get a disabled room!
