This hotel chain describes itself as a better place to stay. That was not our experience.
First, the securing of the booking with Sonder (after booked and paid for, non-refundable, with Expedia) was time-consuming, invasive (with respect to personal information & documentation) & frustrating. And unnecessary: when we arrived, the front desk looked after the usual stuff, e.g., confirming ID.
The access to the hotel room is by way of a seven digit code. How is that better than a key card?
Our room was noisy. I think it was the windows; even though we were on the 4th floor, there was a great deal of the street noise that came through. We had been given ear plugs when we checked in and there was a noise machine table on the bedside table. So this was clearly an ongoing problem for at least this room.
All and all, a disappointing experience.
