I stayed at this hotel with my wife for a weekend in Montreal, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.
The Expedia listing mentioned parking, but the hotel only offered valet parking with no self-parking option. The valet service cost $36 per night, which I would have considered before booking if I had known.
Twice during our stay (around 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.), someone unlocked our room door without knocking or notifying us. Thankfully, the door was locked from inside. This was extremely stressful and disrespectful, especially for my wife.
The bathroom ventilation was very weak, allowing humidity and odors to spread into the room.
There was no toilet brush or cleaning tool, which made the bathroom inconvenient to use.
The breakfast included only a croissant, jam, and peanut butter—no eggs, cheese, or any protein options. This is disappointing, especially for guests with dietary restrictions, and forced us to spend extra on breakfast elsewhere.
No bottled water was provided in the fridge. After a long trip, guests usually expect at least one bottle of drinking water.
Finally, I noticed that the price I paid through Expedia was about 30% higher than the walk-in rate for the same room, which felt unfair.
This hotel could easily improve by addressing these issues. Unfortunately, based on this stay, I wouldn’t choose it again or recommend it to others.
