The location is great. We were there for 2 nights. The room was ok (2 queen beds), but it doesn't have shampoo/cream, the lights on the washroom were flashing the second day. The breakfast is not continental at all, just toast and cereal, banana and apple. The room is very noisy because of the location.
Right in the heart of St. Catherine pedestion Street and the nearby Metro Station...

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Close to downtown. But the worse part for me is the footsteps between 12 midnight and 3pm for each of the 3 nights I stayed The last night there were 2 young men literally milling about outside my door and talking (whispering but still audible!!) They were there well past 3am and I had to tell them to get back to their room as I need to get some sleep!! If you are a light sleeper, this is not for you!!!!!
This property is in a unique district of Montreal and I was looking for low budget - I certainly did get that. Probably the least glamorous hotel I have been to since my university days. Safe, clean(ish), aging with unique "fixes" to some of the issues.
It was quiet and clean and the location was unbeatable, however it is definitely more of a hostel than a hotel, with communal bathroom/shower, and also no fridge in the rooms for cold drinks/water.
