The room is small but clean. There are very few amenities, no hot pot for tea or coffee, and very few plugs that work with adapters for American travelers. The owners are lovely and lent us a hot pot when we asked. The breakfast is the same every day. If boiled eggs, slices of cheese, whole oranges or apples, or sweet breads/cake are your thing, you’re in luck. If you don’t eat bread and want protein, boiled eggs get old.

Basic, clean accommodation with a 5-Star heart

A family-run small inn with multiple generations providing a true Italian country side experience. It is a lovely place with typical Italian breakfast. They served freshly baked sweet cakes, pastry, bread, some prosciutto and other cold -cuts. Our room was smallish, but had great views off the balcony, on the quieter side of the building, although there isn't much traffic on this side-street. There's free parking and also a lift making it accessible. It's very budget friendly, and a great location to explore the lower half of Tuscany from. Highly recommended.

Hotel Due Cigni goes beyond our expectations. It's the cleanest hotel we have been to even in comparison to any five star hotels. This family owned hotel is a diamond find. The hospitality and guest services are exceptional and genuine. Niccolò, Simonetta and Matteo are friendly, kind and always ready to help you in your exploration of Montepulciano, restaurants and many other sites nearby.
