Everything at the Masseria Fortificata Donnaloia was just exquisite. The masseria and its garden are beautiful. The staff are kind and competent. The location is perfect. I cannot wait to go back.

Amazing staff
This hotel is gorgeous, the terrace has amazing views, the restaurant is beautiful, the pool is great and I loved all the plants around. Also great location, the beach is five minutes away and there are great restaurants with good prices around. However for me the biggest pro of this hotel is the staff. We needed to get a PCR test and the receptionist went above and beyond to schedule this for us. It’s a pity I didn’t get his name but he was the one that welcomed us in the hotel on Sunday, July 18th. He not only managed to book us the test but got the lab to bring someone over to the hotel for it and printed all the forms for us beforehand. We could see how stressful the whole logistics were but he made sure we were enjoying our time there while he took care of it. The staff in the restaurant was also brilliant, always checking if we needed anything and bringing coffees and eggs promptly. Grazie mille a tutti!

Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean but with a very very small shower. We did not like the small and type of blankets on the bed. At first the duvet was outside the cover, with only a duvet with a sheet - no duvet cover! And it was not a good quality duvet and was quite horrible to sleep under it! They did not understand our complaint about this at first but after we showed them they have put duvet covers on the beds with the duvets inside.

Wexcellent choice in Puglia
Central location for many of the Puglia attreactions. Very friendly staff, excellent included breakfast buffet and very good restaurant at reasonable pricing. Very good value. Can be difficult to find since gps does not necessarily respond to the address given on thewwebsites. Should indicate it is located in Capitolo on Strada 163...

Lots of problems
Due to a recent storm there were many problems no Internet on first day, air conditioning was far too cold but unable to be adjusted, the nearby beach wasn't available. Given these issue and the cost of the stay i would have thought the hotel would have provided a discount , however staff , whilst apologetic didn't offer anything. Further the breakfast was very average for the traffic , eg no eggs on the day and not bacon . Only a cold breakfast was on offer. The shower was the smallest I have ever experienced in my travels. I wouldn't recommend nor will i be staying there again.

Rustic, Beautiful Hotel W/ Great Customer Service
The hotel service at this hotel was above and beyond what I anticipated. My electric adapter on my hair dryer broke (right before a wedding I was attending) and one of the hotel employees ran around looking for a new hair dryer for me -with success! This hotel is in a rustic, beautiful little town and there is much to do in surrounding towns.

Fabulous Time at the Masseria Fortificata Donnaloi
We had a fabulous time at this hotel.It is situated close to most of the best tourist areas in Puglia. The staff, especially Fransesco at reception, were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and kept very clean and the food in the restaurant at the hotel was very good but could do with offering specials and a variation on the menu.

We had a wonderful 3 nights here in July. The food in the restaurant is fantastic. Each meal was a delight - although a shame it wasn't busier. The only criticism we had was that the outside areas need some comfier seating - it's lacking some relaxation space and has the room to do it! The pool area is great, but very popular. The private beach area is great and the beach bar does some great pasta dishes. It was a great place to stay after being in Ostuni for 8 nights.

A visit to a masseria is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the fruits of centuries of Italian tradition. The Donnaloia Masseria did not disappoint. Excellent in every sense.

This hotel rated as a five star on Expedia is nowhere close to being a five star. The rooms were very tiny, the beach was closed, there were no facilities available to us. The fitness center looked like it had not been used in quite some time surrounded by four walls outside and under umbrellas that looked like they were going to fall on our heads. The staff however were kind.

Quiet Retreat
We visited just as the weather was changing and it rained. Still, the facilities are lovely. Rooms are a bit small but well appointed. Definitely should be rated four stars rather than five.

Maybe a 4 star but never a 5star hotel. Tiny bathroom,and a shower for little people.No towelling robe Very nice but over priced. Address is confusing as it is not in Monopoli, but iust outside Capitolo a small seaside resort 9 kilometeres south of Monopoli
