Casa Guajar Monda by Ruralidays

The holiday home is located 2 km from the village of Monda, in the natural park of Sierra de las Nieves, in Málaga.

There, you can participate in various workshops and ethnographic activities, offering you an unparalleled experience during your visit to Málaga. Some of these include olive picking and seasoning, as well as traditional Mediterranean culinary workshops using natural garden products, which you should request in advance.

This comfortable holiday home has been in the owner's family for five generations and perfectly combines traditional, rustic, and modern elements. The exterior features cobblestone flooring, wooden ceilings covered with Moorish tiles, and noble materials used in its construction.

The house has two floors. On the ground floor, there is a living room with a brick fireplace, satellite TV, a bathroom with a shower, and a kitchen. On the first floor, there are three air-conditioned bedrooms, two with double beds and one with two single beds, a bathroom with a shower, and a small sitting room with a sofa bed for one person. Heating is provided by electric radiators. The rural house is equipped with an oven, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, among other appliances.

Outside, you can enjoy the pleasant shade offered by wooden and heather pergolas and the barbecue for grilling meat. The oven is purely decorative. Access to the house is via a paved road.

Next to the house is the pool, in a very sunny area with wonderful views of the southern Sierras of Monda. Through the pool area, you can access a large and lush part of the estate, ideal for walks and enjoying nature. There you will find an orchard with orange, lemon, almond, strawberry trees, olive trees, vines, and other fruit trees. This plot of trees is crisscrossed by a network of pools and irrigation channels that nourish the existing crops.

The house has held the Certificate of Quality of the European Charter.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned villa, which features a fireplace and a private pool. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Satellite television is provided for your entertainment. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

Amazing villa, wonderful host!
Our stay at the villa was absolutely amazing! It is quite comfortable and a classic Spanish luxurious villa. We had everything we needed. Paqui was an excellent host and I highly recommend you don’t use Apple Maps to get to the location to the public parking she wanted to meet us by was near bar luna, but Apple maps took us a different space . She was with us 100% of the way making our check in is smooth as it could be after we got lost after the sunset ! We were quite frightened and scared, as our GPS took us up a mountain top with gravel, boulder roads… But Paqui got us to our location. All the restaurants were closed upon our arrival and she made us food and brought us beverages. Her hospitality went above and beyond and she is the nicest kindest woman. Highly recommend if we ever stay in the area again we will stay here. It’s a 30 minute drive to Marbella, but the seclusion and the nature and the quietness of the small town of Monda was appreciated. Siestas are for real there, groceries close in the afternoon, and restaurants are not open late. Plan accordingly. Thank you, Paqui. You made our stay so special!

Spectacular views, easy to get to, idyllic setting and paved access to the door.
The house is in an Idyllic setting, in an orchard of fruit trees. Grapes, lemons, figs, almonds, oranges and herbs all round for the culinary minded. The sun sets behind the mountain in the evening, giving the verandas a break from the heat of the day. Marbella is a short drive away (10 minutes to la Canada), and Coin about 10 the other direction. The property is very well built and solid, has ample furniture, towels, washing supplies and equipment. The house is well provided with cooking utensils, delf and crockery. The manager is a lovely Spanish lady who does not speak much English, but is very relaxed and patient and willing to let tourists muddle through with google translate. The house has good wifi, which is available right out to the pool, for teenagers and adults. There is a washing machine, dryer, and ample pool side seating and equipment. The terraces are also well equipped with glass topped tables (easy to clean), ample chairs, and are nicely shaded from direct sun with a natural fibre awning. I could not recommend the house more highly.

Schöne Finca in ruhiger Lage
Finca liegt sehr ruhig am Hang mit einem tollen Blick ins Tal. Es war alles da, was man benötigt. Es gab für uns nur einen Minuspunkt : Wenn man alle Schlafzimmer nutzen möchte, muss man wissen, dass zwei Zimmer oben an der Decke etwas offen sind und man somit jedes leise Geräusch aus dem Nachbarzimmer hören kann.
