I wouldn’t ever stay here again. I stayed here along my road trip throughout Norway. I only booked rooms a couple days ahead of time. I arrived after midnight and was exhausted from hiking and being ln the road all day. There were two gentleman who checked me in and they weren’t that friendly. He explained to that my room was in the old building, it was up stairs, down and halfway and up more stairs. That alone made me want to walk out. I asked if there were any rooms in the new building and he said no. The way he talked to me and his expressions made me feel like I wasn’t good enough to stay there. It’s not even that nice of a hotel to treat people like that.
He didn’t mention anything about parking, and on this site, it says self parking, so I assumed I could just park at the hotel. No, he comes out and tells me I can’t park there, which I appreciate but had he told me when I checked in, he could have saved his steps. Between the paid parking and my hotel room, it was a bit of a hike.
The room did not have air conditioning as advertised, maybe this lucky enough to stay in the new building, but I was so hot all night and was sweating while trying to get ready in the morning, even with a window open. The bathroom door shut on its own so I had to prop it open and there were stains on the dressers.
The old building should be given at a discount for half off. It’s an outrage they sell it for as much as they do.
I had better breakfasts in 3 star hotels.
