Dubbed the matrimonial office by locals, our home was a popular Southern guest house for decades. Many romances were kindled here, resulting in over 60 marriages. Conveniently situated with access to highways 64, 601, and 158, main street is a stone's throw away for walkable access to downtown shopping, restaurants, and bars. Easy access to wineries, Rich Park nature trails, Winston Salem, Lexington, Salisbury, and much more. Professionally decorated in an eclectic Victorian style, our guest house house has its own private second floor exterior access. It boasts its own private kitchen and living room in addition to two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. Owner occupied ground floor. Guests have the complete second floor of the house which is self contained, with its own private exterior entrance. It is our goal to make your stay as welcoming and pleasant as possible. We greatly respect guest privacy, and aim to tailor our level of interaction to your needs. We will leave you our cell phone numbers so you are able to reach us if necessary. We are happy to assist in any way. We think our lovely Victorian home with its classic Southern wrap around porch and B & B style charm is a unique gem, and so is our Mocksville historic downtown neighborhood. Our little corner of downtown has a secluded feel, while literally being a few doorways away from the courthouse, restaurants, our amazing local cafe, and retail shops. Built in 1898 as the town Mayor's residence, our home is rich with history. We have plenty of excellent highway access to highway 64, 601, and 158. There is no public transportation system, but there are many amenities within walking distance. Not suitable for mobility challenged individuals, as climbing one flight of stairs is necessary.
We are pet friendly. However a $30 one time fee per pet is charged in addition to to the advertised booking rates.
