Great rooms and great staff
I was stuck in Minot for an extra night because my car broke down. Staff was very welcoming and nice after such a long day. They let me hang out in their lobby for a couple hours while I waited for a rental car. The rooms are great, lots of room so you don't feel closed in a small room. I’ve stayed here a few times and never have any issues. Will be getting another room when I have to come back to get my car.

The property is easily accessible from a main road. There is only one elevator off the lobby so it is quicker to take the stairs. The hotel is showing some wear and tear but nothing extreme. I stayed in room 407 and the door doesnt lock without a good hip check or a slam when leaving the room. I stayed in a king room and the bed was alright, liked having the ice maker in the freezer, loads of channels on the tv. Breakfast left a bit to be desired for, for example no fresh fruit offerings. Overall it was ok.

The property is mostly clean. The bathrooms in the hotel room could use a serious deep clean, lots of dirt around the edges of the bathroom. The continental breakfast was 3 hot items which got refilled very slowly, and some other cold items. I wouldn’t rely on it to fill you up. Or if it will, it will be slowly as the one attendant cooks more food. This is a very mid-range hotel.

First, after coordinating an early check in with the front desk, they charged me $25 for checking in 2.5 hours early. No mention previous; I find that pretty grubby. More importantly, the wifi was atrocious; I had better luck with my own cell data for business apps. My door, when released didn't lock by itself; I thought that was at least a requirement. If not, it should be for security sake; every other property I've been at of any repute does have that. The gym facility was woefully uncared for and didn't have the equipment shown in the photo. The overall appearance of the hotel was run down and not well cared for. The front desk staff was accommodating to a degree...but not overtly so. Overall, I literally chose this facility based on the early check in and the gym. To say that the entire experience was very disappointing would be very accurate; wish I had chosen a different hotel.

Staff were friendly. The room, although dated, was clean and the bathroom clean as well. Room was spacious. We would stay there again and would recommend the Hawthorne despite being in a more industrial area. Close to shopping and restaurants.

Really enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean and it was nice to have a full kitchen. Bed wasn’t the comfiest. It was nice however to have an actual living and bedroom. Breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast. Will probably book again.
